DuncinToffee · 08/05/2022 21:02

Sorry for posting those result, like Brexit, we shouldn't mention Losses because of a beer

Roussette · 08/05/2022 21:04

One more than I thought then... - 487.

Wasn't the prediction -350?

Peregrina · 08/05/2022 21:24

Where were you finding those results - the Labour ones seem to have gone down. Have Lab and LibDem been transposed?

SueSaid · 08/05/2022 21:27

'People are trying to smear Keir starmer & suggest he's the same as Boris Johnson... there is a difference... Keir Starmer doesn't tell lies'

But he does and some backstabbing colleague having seen their poor gains has dropped him in it.

Rayner wasn't there - she was
Hotel didn't do food - it did
A 'quick bite to eat' ' - a planned hour and 20 minutes dinner as set out on the leaked memo
Back to work straight after - they didn't. They went back to the hotel as stated on said leaked memo.

He is a hypocrite. He has gone on and on about cake, he has exploited grieving relatives and their tragic stories and now he has been outed by one of his own. What a prat.

HarrietPierce · 08/05/2022 21:32

"he has exploited grieving relatives and their tragic stories"

No that's Johnson JaniieJones . Get your facts right.·

Blossomtoes · 08/05/2022 21:32

Hotel didn't do food - it did

Not at the time it was required and only for residents.

Back to work straight after - they didn't

They did.

Did anyone go back to work on 20 May? Or after the parties the night before the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral? What about the ABBA party? Or are you seriously buying the interview story?

@JaniieJones You seem to know the details of what happened in Durham in great detail, were you there?

Roussette · 08/05/2022 21:35

That's your take on it. Just prove they didn't do any work after. Go on.

Your dear leader janiie is in a very sticky position. You need to face up to it. Hard though it is.

Keir Starmer is not a liar. Boris has repeatedly lied and everyone knows it.

Police numbers, vaccines, more people in work than before covid, all rules were followed, 20,000 more police, there were no parties... that's just off thte top of my head

@JaniieJones Do you know where the 40 new hospitals Boris promised are?
Is there any sign of the £350million a week for the NHS that Boris promised?

SueSaid · 08/05/2022 21:42

'Your dear leader janiie is in a very sticky position. You need to face up to it. Hard though it is.'

You seem to think I'm emotionally attached to him, I'm not if he goes then I'll get over it I promise, I just know he's got plenty right in the last 2 years and can't get outraged about work place interactions, unlike Starmer who now looks very very silly.

Peregrina · 08/05/2022 21:45

Do tell us Janiie the two known times when Starmer was sacked for lying?
Do tell us about his serial adultery.

It might just then be possible to believe you. Clearly the people who voted out the 487 Councillors didn't think like you. As I said before, many of them will have been decent and hard working and trying to represent the people who voted for them. Some won't, some will have been complacent and deservedly got the boot - which can apply to all parties.

A reminder of all those Downing Street parties.

HarrietPierce · 08/05/2022 21:48

Starmer has neither lied nor had 18 parties including suitcases full of booze.

Roussette · 08/05/2022 21:48

Oh and just to add to this... apparently the Met are up to the Christmas party that Allegra Stratton joked about... as far as issuing FPN's.

18 Dec.2020. 40 of Johnsons staff attended. A secret santa. Strict Tier 3 restrictions at the time, indoor mixing was banned. One resignation over this already, the PM's Deputy Principal Private Secretary, he left on Friday.

I'm surprised.

Anyway, the Christmas party with 40 attending should be interesting wouldn't you agree?
The restrictions then were more stringent then than the Durham Keir Starmer meeting.

I think the person who looks silly is the PM who said countless times 'no rules were broken' whilst knocking back the booze and knowing full well 40 were at a Christmas party. Now that makes him look more than silly. It makes him look like the liar he is.

"unlike Starmer who now looks very very silly."

When Starmer is found innocent of breaking any rules it's the right wing press and their idiot supporters who are going to look very very silly JaniieJones.

Roussette · 08/05/2022 21:55

Oh and just to add more detail to that Christmas Party with 40 in attendance... it went on till 2am.

More details coming out

Peregrina · 08/05/2022 21:58

I wonder whether Allegra Stratton feels a bit of a fool now, for not lying her way out of it? Or does she know that at least she took the honourable course of action - for a party that she didn't even attend?

Roussette · 08/05/2022 22:00

Wouldn't you want to be the one who actually took the honourable route. Unlike BJ.

The DM has milked partygate as much as any tabloid / media

on the elections there are a fair few articles www.dailymail.co.uk/news/partygate/index.html

not sure why they are being held up as a site that doesn’t cover stuff like partygate for months like everyone else - maybe more - It’s good as click bait press

My post didn't suggest anywhere that the Mail wasn't covering party gate. It was directed at the fact that they are desperate to smear Starmer and members of the Labour Party and their attempts keep falling short. What is noticeable, however, is that they're promoting the curry nonsense at the expense of reporting fully on the local elections.

Luculentus · 08/05/2022 22:56

A 'quick bite to eat' ' - a planned hour and 20 minutes dinner as set out on the leaked memo

I wish I could work out why Tory supporters are so excited about a planned break in the itinerary. Surely it demonstrates that they are telling the truth, i.e. that it was planned as a part of the working day. In 2021 this type of gathering for work purposes was fully permissible.

prettybird · 08/05/2022 23:29

@Luculentus - you've said much more succinctly what I tried to express earlier. Grin

In my working experience, such a memo/agenda is proof that it was part of the working day timetable rather than "smoking gun" evidence of a social event Confused
