What have you bought that's changed your life for the better?

I'm not taking about big houses, cars etc, but small, every day purchases. I've spent £35 on a pair of Bluetooth over ear headphones with active noise cancellation. Being autistic and sensitive to noise, these are an absolute game changer. They're amazing. Currently on a fairly busy train and all I can hear is my music.

A Brompton - changed my life enormously for the better. I am fitter, healthier, and ever so much happier now that I do the commute by bike. My children are also now competent cyclists.

Mooncup - so convenient, comfortable and better for the environment. I've used them for around 25 years now! (I think I'm on my fourth in terms of the actual items...)

Dyson handheld vacuum cleaner.

A smartphone with a really good camera.

But the Brompton is really the best thing I've ever bought, owned or used. I love it so so so so so much and ride it every day!

A back scratcher! I’m on medication that makes my skin itchy and I was like a cow scratching it’s back against a fence (or using DD’s hairbrush much to her disgust). I can reach all my back now and it’s bliss.

ChocolateRiver · 23/04/2022 18:22

My electric toothbrush.

Graphista · 23/04/2022 21:36

@Yourinmyspot oh yes! I got one recently (I have eczema) nothing worse than an itchy back you can't reach - £1 job done love it!

My kindle. It rekindled (haha) my childhood love of reading. It goes everywhere with me.
My instant pot is also a game changer, couldn’t be without it.

Forgot to mention the 20 watt charger I bought for my iPhone and Airpods - it charges them much faster compared to my old charger (5 watt) and saves me so much time.

3 metre charging cable for when I'm in hospital (too often) as it will stretch over bed from charging port so you can watch a movie while it's plugged in. On similar lines, I love my BP monitor. Also love bluetooth headphones (over ear). And my most recent investment of 200 english pennies on a large plunger which unblocks my bath!
Other joys are Big UNSEXY KNICKERS for the blowfish syndrome and buying pyjama bottoms 4 sizes up for the same syndrome.
A tiered trousers hanger also useful as is a hat sort of thing (hangs off a hanger) for space saving.

Reusable sanitary towels. Wish I had swapped years ago
Peloton. Yes, expensive but I am on it virtually every day

A Ninja 15 to 1 cooker. Had it about 6 weeks and used my big oven twice, for short periods only, during that time. Fast, efficient, easy to clean and uses much less electricity. Brilliant.

An upsee firefly walking harness for my disabled son for £315 when he was 3 and couldn’t bear any weight on his feet but after a dedicated summer with this he was not only able to stand but walk too.

Life changing is an understatement 🥰

This is just wonderful to read MooBugz as pp said this wins 🥰

Lovely to read how much happiness and love pets bring to us too

My Amazon wish list has certainly increased …

ImAvingOops · 24/04/2022 15:00

@ChiswickFlo , I bought these for £12.99 and £16.99.
