I'm not taking about big houses, cars etc, but small, every day purchases. I've spent £35 on a pair of Bluetooth over ear headphones with active noise cancellation. Being autistic and sensitive to noise, these are an absolute game changer. They're amazing. Currently on a fairly busy train and all I can hear is my music.

Heated throw, it really is bliss.

Flat and happy - what brand ? Sounds great

I would guess Eufy, the MN favourite. My latest robovac is a Eufy and although it's not quite as good as my previous fancy schmancy one, it cost about 1/8th of the price. They regularly have deals too.

I love my robomop too.

WLAH · 20/04/2022 17:54

All weather clothes line

Love my air fryer too

Daleksatemyshed · 20/04/2022 17:58

A small water feature for the garden. The birds come for a drink and a bath (yes, they drink their own bathwater, how uncouth!). There's something about the sound of the running water on a sunny day that's so peaceful and lovely

devildeepbluesea · 20/04/2022 17:59

I second the heated throw. Amazing and no need for heating!
My dog. I’ve had dogs for nearly 20 years but my last old boy crossed the bridge last Feb. I vowed to give it a year before the next one, lasted 3 months! He’s from the dogs home and really made me make the most of last summer. He also ensures I walk at least 15k steps a day.

and the other one I always trot out on these threads: my hot water dispense which I keep beside my bed so I can have 2 cups of coffee before leaving my duvet.

lastly, I got an Aeropress for my birthday earlier this month. Bloody amazing.

MsTSwift · 20/04/2022 18:01

Mooncup. Better greener cheaper. Just amazing.

Ugg slippers. Got some for my teen horrified at price. Then Dh got me some - just lovely especially as I wfh so much better than any other slipper ever

NameChangeforMoneyThings · 20/04/2022 18:02

My second hand Kenwood is my favourite - £100 for it and then as much again for various attachments so it's got a broader set of uses but I use it several times a week - for all of bread, cakes, scones, pesto, smoothies, batters, grating things.

CatFacePoodle · 20/04/2022 18:03

Mabelface - which headphones did you buy? That's a great price. Very much need some for my autistic son, having been on a train journey from hell today...

Pegasussnail · 20/04/2022 18:04

Thank you & also recommend a heated throw. Another tip - using an extension lead they are great in the garden.

CopperLily · 20/04/2022 18:06

I'm also interested in the headphones! Especially after paying £250 for Bose noise cancelling ones for my daughter who has sensitivity issues. I bought them in December and the bloody things stopped working last week.

BertieBotts · 20/04/2022 18:07

Tumble dryer
Smart phone
Menstrual cup
Boba air sling (if you have small children)
Monthly bus pass

TwoBigNoisyBoys · 20/04/2022 18:07

@Mossstitch I’m with you there!! 😄

My Audible subscription has been worth every penny, especially as I’ve been suffering from some ill-health and had to have quite a lot of hospital treatment, it’s been marvellous for passing the time. Absolutely loads of free content on there too, so well worth the money.

(I’ve also got an air fryer and an instant pot and I’m ashamed to say I’ve used them both the grand total of once. Wish I could get to grips with them, as everyone else raves over them.)

EmbroidedFlowers · 20/04/2022 18:09

Menstrual cup for me too, game changer.
A treadmill that I can whip out from under the sofa, I get so much more exercise done.
And something really small - a charger tidy that sticks to the bedside table and keeps the wires neat and out of sight. 😄

devildeepbluesea · 20/04/2022 18:10

@TwoBigNoisyBoys oh good shout on Audible subscription. I’ve had mine over 12 years, I could never get rid.

I love them, was on the train earlier by some squeaky little boys and I could hardly hear them. All I hear is my music.

@devildeepbluesea isnt it brilliant? I use it everyday and it’s really helped with my insomnia too…means I have to ‘rewind’ it a lot 🙈 but it s well worth it. Even with the current cost of living increase, I won’t give it up.

EthelbertaChickerel · 22/04/2022 08:15

@Subbaxeo

A cat flap linked to the internet with an app. Made such a difference to our lives-no more getting up to open the cat flap in the morning, we can set the times we want him to be in and change it to locked remotely-we even get a message telling us he’s inside. Useful if you want to then keep him in for any reason and you’re at work-just lock it remotely! My dh persuaded me and we’re so happy we bought it.
Could you please link this? It sounds like just what I need!
Sunflowersinthewind · 22/04/2022 08:15

Mine is my robot hoover - Coredy, even mops too - and my air fryer.

Sonos speakers throughout the house

Heat tech tops from uni glow - Have them in different colours/styles. Gorgeous to wear

our indoor cats - they bring us so much joy

AirPod headphones

WingingItSince1973 · 22/04/2022 10:46

My heated throw. I have a few now. Its been a game changer for me as I'm in constant pain and it helps so much at night. X

AlisonDonut · 22/04/2022 10:56

Air fryer definitely, halves the time i spend cooking.

Good quality Welly boots, originally bought as the allotment kept flooding but now used in my new large garden which is always damp until the sun gets on it.

Chalk pens revolutionised my gardening and teaching - i had students that would refuse to write but give them coloured chalk pens and you can't stop them.

toomanybooksonmybookcase · 22/04/2022 11:03

My cat.

She's a complete cow usually and is very much here to be served, not owned. However I'm having a bit of a bad day for various reasons and she's been sat next to me all morning giving me gentle purrs and occasional head rubs.

TeapotCollection · 22/04/2022 11:04

A rubber broom. Does a better job than the vacuum cleaner, a lot more effort obviously but worth it
