I'm not taking about big houses, cars etc, but small, every day purchases. I've spent £35 on a pair of Bluetooth over ear headphones with active noise cancellation. Being autistic and sensitive to noise, these are an absolute game changer. They're amazing. Currently on a fairly busy train and all I can hear is my music.

A good quality rucksack

A pair of decent running trainers (I don't run, these are just for everyday but so comfortable)

Wireless earbuds

Laser eye surgery

Bedding plants which got me started on gardening

Sweaty Betty gym clothes

A dotted journal with numbered pages in which I write all my notes, scribblings, to do lists, plans, ........ everything! Just fill in the contents page and you can easily find what you're looking for.
I'm on my 6th or 7th and use one per year

Wishihadanalgorithm · 22/04/2022 15:17

My massage gun. I have really bad knots in my back and shoulders as I suffer from bruxism and it leads to back, neck and shoulder pain. DP isn’t very good at giving a massage but he can hold the gun in my back and it is bliss!

Alphabet1spaghetti2 · 22/04/2022 15:20

A pipamoka and a nanopresso. Lovely coffee whenever and wherever I want.

ChristmasFluff · 22/04/2022 15:21

A glass chopping board. No blade marks - ever! And by pure coincidence, it suited my decor completely - it cheers me up every time I walk into the kitchen!

Oldandcobwebby · 22/04/2022 15:24

A Kent handmade comb. (about £4 in Boots or Amazon) I have a sensitive scalp since developing thyroid issues, and it is so much more gentle than the normal ones.

Reading sun glasses.
Easi-glide baking trays (£££ but worth it for actually being non-stick)
Wool mattress topper - cool in summer/warm in winter.
Portable Phone charger.
Milk frother - like a velvetiser except mine is lavazza.

LoveSpringDaffs · 22/04/2022 15:46

@supadupapupascupa Which notebook/journal do you use?

JetTail · 22/04/2022 15:50

A gym subscription.

LoveSpringDaffs · 22/04/2022 15:51

Urgh sorry. I'm having massive problems with MN today, I'm giving up after this pist.

This knife blade sharpener has been amazing!!

im not even trying the link again. It's called AnySharp it's on Amazon but available elsewhere I'm sure.

I've tried all sorts over the years, but this is fabulous AND inexpensive!!

SpiderinaWingMirror · 22/04/2022 16:00

Orthotics. Cost around £100. Literally life changing

Imabouttoexplode · 22/04/2022 16:02

My electric bike. Makes me smile every single time I use it. I'll never get sick of effortlessly gliding up hills!

Ikea sell a wardrobe rail which you can fix to the wall .I put it up high in our tiny utility room and now hang my clothes on it to dry up out of the way.Honestly makes me so happy. It was about £6.

This is such a great idea!

ThreeLocusts · 22/04/2022 16:15

Stand-up mixer instead if handheld - makes baking way more relaxed

Bean to cup coffee machine - look forward to the coffee every morning

WandaVon · 22/04/2022 16:35

The crystal weighted blanket from Sunday Citizen. All of their stuff is amazing. But very expensive.

soupmaker · 22/04/2022 16:57

Heated airer to dry clothes.

Measuring cups and spoons.

Cowboy skillet.

A memory foam pillow.

Running shoes.

BestIsWest · 22/04/2022 17:25

A heat retaining hot water bottle. It stays warm for hours.
Airpods.
Fitflops trainers and slippers. Cured my plantar fasciitis.

Peckhampalace · 22/04/2022 17:48

No waste path solid combined shampoo and conditioner.
Bought as part of plastic reduction and as more convenient to go swimming.
Uses less water, leaves hair soft and well behaved, and it needs washing less too. It seems to last ages and I using at home too.

Also agree with/recommend the Eufy vacuum, mooncup and heated throw.

MelvinThePenguin · 22/04/2022 17:51

Period pants. Wear the light ones all the time now, as they are so convenient and comfortable.

I have a bladder condition that flares up around the time of my period and they’ve significantly reduced that too (compared with sanitary towels).

The environmental win is the cherry on top.

I actually considered starting my own thread like this, based on my pants!

veronicagoldberg · 22/04/2022 17:53

A gadget that charges my iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods at the same time. So convenient.

I'm also interested in the headphones! Especially after paying £250 for Bose noise cancelling ones for my daughter who has sensitivity issues. I bought them in December and the bloody things stopped working last week.

Send them back
Returned ours to amazon after at least a year and they replaced immediately

Chaoslatte · 22/04/2022 20:34

I also love my noise cancelling headphones - don’t know how I coped without them! I have Beats Studio 3 which are pricey but the only headphones I’ve ever found which aren’t too big for my head.

These knickers which are the most comfortable ever. They don’t have trim around the legs which always irritates my skin.
