I'm not taking about big houses, cars etc, but small, every day purchases. I've spent £35 on a pair of Bluetooth over ear headphones with active noise cancellation. Being autistic and sensitive to noise, these are an absolute game changer. They're amazing. Currently on a fairly busy train and all I can hear is my music.

My bike. I absolutely love it - I can't cycle too far as I have joint problems but each week I try and do 7km around our local lake and I get to see all the wildlife. It's not an expensive or flash bike, but I love nothing better than riding that around the lakes.

Can you tell me which one you have? Thanks

It’s a Dawinsie one from Amazon. With a red cover with white hearts Actually having googled I don’t think it has any magic properties but it seems to stay warm for ages.

I would guess Eufy, the MN favourite. My latest robovac is a Eufy and although it's not quite as good as my previous fancy schmancy one, it cost about 1/8th of the price. They regularly have deals too.

I love my robomop too.

I have a Eufy 11s its almost three years old , runs every day and still going strong .
It cost just under £200 , so not small change by any means but certainly worth it

Cocopopsss · 23/04/2022 05:29

@Itsalloutofwhack which steam mop is that, I’m looking for a decent one, thanks!

DeanStockwellsBunny · 23/04/2022 05:34

Long charger cables for my phone and a enough of them so I can have one by my bed , one downstairs and one in my work bag so I am not constantly hunting for them .

My Dyson V7.. has made hoovering literally painless as I'm disabled

I have 2 Westies - I adore them. Aged 14 yrs and 14 months.

tomatoandherbs · 23/04/2022 06:54

No ifs
no buts
My robotic vacuum (I have £50 off code for any Eufy if anyone wants to pm me!)

Seriously though - they are truly incredible and i would give up my right arm before I gave up my eufy!

Nospringchickendipper · 23/04/2022 07:07

A shaped pillow for people with neck and shoulder problems £20 on Amazon. After years of not sleeping well and waking up unable to move because of my neck I now wake up pain free.

Jumpking · 23/04/2022 07:07

My cat.

Rehomed him from the RSPCA a month before my then STBX turned nasty and decided he was moving back into the family home after 10 months elsewhere, without discussion nor warning.

Looking after the cat in the emergency house move 5 days later, then the move to rented a month after that, gave the teens someone to look after and care for rather than focus on what was actually happening.

Absolute Godsend. And he's a real sweetie of a cat too.

SynchOrSwim · 23/04/2022 07:11

Phillips Lumea. Dark hair and pale skin so works really well on me!

HPFA · 23/04/2022 07:14

One of my favourite things is an old landline phone picked up at a car boot sale for......10p.

It had a working hash key which our old phone didn't - just at the time when everything was going automated with the endless demands to "then press the hash key."

Saved me an awful lot of frustration.

My house is full of car boot sale stuff - I love them. Always a thrill finding something I actually need for next to nothing - and I get to feel virtuous about the environment too!

mistermagpie · 23/04/2022 07:32

Apple AirPods (other brands are available but these are what I have!). I love to listen to podcasts and audiobooks when I'm doing housework and whatever but the wires annoyed me with catching on stuff all the time, and all the other Bluetooth headphones I tried wouldn't stay in properly. I love these so much and listening to my books makes me so more likely to do boring cleaning!

NippyWoowoo · 23/04/2022 07:34

Totally missing the point as it's not something I bought but discovered.

iPhone had done an update which allowed you to change the alarm clock by typing instead of scrolling and I loved it as it made it so easy. But then changed it back. It sounds so silly but the act of scrolling the times back and forth so often (I work different times every day and they change week to week) really got me down as I set a series of alarms for the mornings and they have a set time between each so ti was becoming a chore.

Well, last night I discovered (after a frustrated Google) that all I have to do is tap the time and it allows me to do it by typing.

It made me so happy

GnomeDePlume · 23/04/2022 07:36

Steam juicer.

We grow a lot of soft fruit so I make a lot of jam. But no one in the family likes 'bits'. I used to strain the fruit through jelly bag. Always a messy job. No more!

White noise machine. I really struggle sleeping (as shown by me posting at 3am Grin) I purchased a white noise machine and I've been managing to go to sleep. It's the best thing I ever purchased. But don't forget to pack it when you go away..

I use a white noise app on my phone - don't need to worry about forgetting it if I go away. I've always been a poor sleeper but we started with the white noise when DS was a baby and slept in our room and I found it really helped me. He's now six and has been in his own room for years but I kept the white noise!

Thisisit2022 · 23/04/2022 07:37

At the top: Philips Lumea. Wish I'd discovered it when I was 20!
Heated throw
Robo vac
Tassimo
Lidded wok with handles
Decent, spill free, large takeaway cup
Cheap CCTV camera
OnePlusPro mobile phone

LaurenKelsey · 23/04/2022 07:47

Multiple pairs of inexpensive reading glasses. I must have ten or more. Now I never have to look for a pair because they are everywhere. 😎 My iPad, which I use constantly, a heated blanket, a good quality handbag that I’ve had for a few years now.

Cuck00soup · 23/04/2022 07:52

I love these threadsSmile

How did I not know about electric mops?

Fulmine · 23/04/2022 07:53

Mini iPad. I really dithered about buying it because I thought it was a pure indulgence, but it comes into its own when we go on holiday. I load Kindle and library books onto it, can listen to music, watch TV and film programmes, listen to audio books and podcasts, load maps and tourist information. Even crochet patterns!

A chopper thing for when you need to chop onions, carrots etc but don[t want to use a food mixer.

Love the chopper thing. Got mine from food chef or whatever it was called but doesn't exist anymore.

MooBugz · 23/04/2022 07:57

An upsee firefly walking harness for my disabled son for £315 when he was 3 and couldn’t bear any weight on his feet but after a dedicated summer with this he was not only able to stand but walk too.

Life changing is an understatement 🥰

@EmbroidedFlowers

Menstrual cup for me too, game changer. A treadmill that I can whip out from under the sofa, I get so much more exercise done. And something really small - a charger tidy that sticks to the bedside table and keeps the wires neat and out of sight. 😄
Please could you link to the treadmill?

Sorry just seen this!
