I'm not taking about big houses, cars etc, but small, every day purchases. I've spent £35 on a pair of Bluetooth over ear headphones with active noise cancellation. Being autistic and sensitive to noise, these are an absolute game changer. They're amazing. Currently on a fairly busy train and all I can hear is my music.

Based totally on a thread here discussing robovacs I bought one - I thought you had to pay a fortune for a decent one but MN wisdom said not. My floors have never been so clean and I am in love with the thing.

Can i ask which model of robovac you have and how much it was?

NotQuiteUsual · 23/04/2022 08:06

My carpet cleaner. It's just a spot cleaner one, but with a giant, hairy dog it's been such a game changer. I didn't even know my hallway carpet was such a light shade of browny beige

EmbroidedFlowers · 23/04/2022 08:07

@HollowTalk @SunnydaleHSAlumna treadmill linked above.😊

Roselilly36 · 23/04/2022 08:10

Neck care memory foam pillow
Laser Eye Surgery
Airfryer
The Four Agreements book by Don Miguel Ruiz

herbologist · 23/04/2022 08:15

One of those things that you put in the saucepan when boiling eggs that changes colour when they are ready. Game changer.

Menstrual cup for me too, game changer.
A treadmill that I can whip out from under the sofa, I get so much more exercise done.
And something really small - a charger tidy that sticks to the bedside table and keeps the wires neat and out of sight. 😄

@EmbroidedFlowers I'm another one who'd like to know which treadmill you have if you return to the thread please! Keep trying to find a decent folding one but haven't had any success yet.

Sounds daft I know, but an old fashioned carpet sweeper a friend was going to chuck. Especially at this time of year, when we constantly have so many ‘bits’ from the beech tree in the back garden, and ‘pink snow’ from the cherry tree in the front, either blown or trodden in.
Half a minute with the CS - QED - it’s brilliant for making short work of ‘bits’ - and even better, no electricity!

LemonRedwood · 23/04/2022 08:26

Oh thank you! I totally missed you posting the link the first time 🤦🏻‍♀️

My Revlon hairbrush hairdryer. It’s fantastic. I have very thick bushy hair that frizzes very easily and have spent £’s on products over the years. Now I have salon blow dried hair every day (and gets less frizzy)

audio and Spotify subscriptions

my Best Buy ever is my cat £30 he is nearly 18

A shaped pillow for people with neck and shoulder problems £20 on Amazon. After years of not sleeping well and waking up unable to move because of my neck I now wake up pain free.

Can I have the name of the one you bought please? I haven’t found ‘the one’ yet 🤣

ihatethecold · 23/04/2022 08:30

I’m shocked at how expensive the Eufy is. I’d love one but I can’t spend over £200 on it unfortunately.

JaninaDuszejko · 23/04/2022 08:33

In our last house we just had a small courtyard garden and I got a Brabantia wall mounted clothes line. It was brilliant, worked so well in a small space and folded up so easily when we had visitors.

A random one is a cow corn orange peeler. I keep it in my work bag and it makes eating oranges so much less messy.

ThinkForAMinute · 23/04/2022 08:34

Robot hoover
Electric potato peeler
Kitchen aid - partly because I love to bake and partly because it looks lovely in the kitchen

olympicsrock · 23/04/2022 08:37

What do people make in an air fryer?
which steam mop do people recommend?

If you can wait a little while then they're often included in Amazon Prime day/Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals. I managed to get one 40% off a couple of years ago in an Amazon Black Friday sale. Agree with others that it's a game changer!

A retro-style breadbin. It fits so much in and keeps everything fresh. I'd always thought it would take up too much space on the worktop but it doesn't and I love it.

An organiser for tins that has 3 shelves and is on a slight angle so the tins roll to the front when you take one out. Plus it has dividers so you can keep tins in rows and easily see what you're running low on. DH always moved the tins about in the cupboard which meant I was constantly rearranging them and trying to keep track of what we needed. I realise this makes me sound a bit Sleeping With The Enemy Grin

A bookcart - great space saver and easy to move.

thebeespyjamas · 23/04/2022 08:45

Tassimo - cannot live without the coffees
Nutribullet - make so many sauces and smoothies in there, causing me to have a much healthier diet
Good corded vacuum - never loses power, leave out so I can go over daily (Shark)

I'll also add some items I suspect would improve my life:

Them stone filter showerheads
Air fryer

You have to buy the flap and hub to connect it to internet-this is the cheapest I’ve seen it for the 2. You can then use the hub if you buy an internet feeding bowl etc

annabell22 · 23/04/2022 08:54

Samsung Galazy Tablet S7+ (although the S8 is out now). The pen is included and the book cover is pretty good although I wish it was backlit. I am using it for my studies as well as life in general and I really like it.

Kindle paperwhite

Roll up jigsaw puzzle felt so you can put it away partially done

I got an air fryer on Monday! It has been used almost every day since then, including yesterday's frozen garlic baguette and a couple of frozen Yorkshire puds for DH the day before.

TrundleWheel · 23/04/2022 08:54

theremustonlybeone · 23/04/2022 09:04

frozen onions and garlic- life changing Grin

beepbeep · 23/04/2022 09:07

Looking at the Eufy, which one do people recommend? Has anyone got the hybrid one with the mop? Are they good?

GreenSalon · 23/04/2022 09:15

Another one who wants to know which eufy to get please!
