I'm not taking about big houses, cars etc, but small, every day purchases. I've spent £35 on a pair of Bluetooth over ear headphones with active noise cancellation. Being autistic and sensitive to noise, these are an absolute game changer. They're amazing. Currently on a fairly busy train and all I can hear is my music.

I didn’t buy it myself - it was a gift from my parents, but they got me a dishwasher a few years ago and it changed my life completely 😍
I have 3 young DCs and was washing up a billion times a day. Best present ever!!

LowbrowVictoriana · 22/04/2022 11:10

Cheap ear plugs! I can sleep all night now, and move back in to the marital bed. They've saved my sanity, marriage, health and sex life

My dog. For the love and exercise.

Xiaoxiong · 22/04/2022 11:19

A charging dock for the side of my bed that does my phone, airpods and apple watch all in one

Revlon one-step hair dryer (£20 on ebay!)

Subscription to eatyourbooks.com so now I actually use all my cookbooks

Subscription to an online barre studio so I do a video most days and my back and core have never been stronger (I do fitbycoachkel.com)

Knomo rucksack for work, no more sore shoulder from a tote

Specs with a magnetic sunglasses lens that are polarising - so much easier for driving as no glare

ImplementingTheDennisSystem · 22/04/2022 11:33

A microwave!
We've never had one before.
We cook a lot of 2-night meals which we've always had to heat up in the oven, meaning the oven is running for 30-40 mins. Now we just zap and go!

Sunsetboater · 22/04/2022 11:54

@Mossstitch Snap... Mine came through today! 👍

PegsandBags · 22/04/2022 12:15

Shark upright cordless vacuum, with a detachable bit that does little jobs.

Label maker. No more freezer roulette!

Some remote control wires that attach the TV remotes to a container. No more losing them.

Alexa. I use it to play music and the radio, set alarms/reminders/announcements, call the kids, tell me which bins to put out, turn lights on.

Good kitchen paring knives. 5 of the same ones.

@FromOurHatsToOurFeet please could you link to the remote wires? Absolutely a pain in the arse having to find the remote all the time!

My Westie.. pays dividends every single day
My Dyson V7.. has made hoovering literally painless as I'm disabled

PawPrintsInMyPansies · 22/04/2022 12:42

Birkenstock Arizona shearling shoes. I use the am slippers. So comfy and keep my feet warm.

hand held vac to quickly zap things off the floor

Kindle (am on my second one) and Kindle Unlimited. So worth the £7.99/m for the free books.

Nice knitting needles and yarn. Def worth the money.

Menstrual cup for me too, game changer.
A treadmill that I can whip out from under the sofa, I get so much more exercise done.
And something really small - a charger tidy that sticks to the bedside table and keeps the wires neat and out of sight. 😄

Yes, please could you share your treadmill??

Chunkymonkey123 · 22/04/2022 13:07

For those of you saying audible, if you download ‘BorrowBox’ you get all audio books free from the library. It doesn’t have the extra podcasts but saves £8 a month.

ZenKaleidoscope · 22/04/2022 13:10

@Itsalloutofwhack have you got a link to the mop?

Minimalme · 22/04/2022 13:10

It's what I have t bought that's changed my life.

I have been decluttering for six months now and have finally got on top of my urge to buy stuff to improve my life.

TheVanguardSix · 22/04/2022 13:14

My Eufy robovac. Life-changing!

Chrispackhamspoodle · 22/04/2022 13:19

Ikea sell a wardrobe rail which you can fix to the wall .I put it up high in our tiny utility room and now hang my clothes on it to dry up out of the way.Honestly makes me so happy. It was about £6.

Wheresmywoolyjumpers · 22/04/2022 13:34

Knickers with legs in them - always resisted but they are so much more comfortable, I will never go back!

OctopusSay · 22/04/2022 13:40

Robovac

Seasalt coat

Whatsthestoryboringglory · 22/04/2022 13:43

Undersink bins for black and recycling waste. The lids open as you pull them out. The cupboard door then shuts on them so you can’t see them. It’s amazing. I’m so sad. 😁

ohidoliketobe · 22/04/2022 13:47
  • Eufy (clear breakfast syuff up, wipe the table down and set him running while I do the school run incredible)
  • wireless earbud headphones
  • ring doorbell (wfh with study in the loft - it's a long way to run down in the middle of a Skype meeting to discover it's a door to door salesman Angry)
  • aldi heater airer
  • cordless vacuum for the loft (2 studies and a bedroom). Saves lugging a corded vacuum up and does a decent job.
Anomalocaris · 22/04/2022 13:48

A hepa air filter for my bedroom/study so I can get some relief from fucking hayfever is my Best Buy this year (now why can MN capitalise Best Buy but not the first letter of a new paragraph?).

A Fire stick which has brought new life to an old TV.

Barefoot/minimalist shoes which mean I can go for proper walks and not be in pain (except for fucking hayfever - see above).

Ohmygoshyoudontsay · 22/04/2022 13:49

A dog.

NoFitStateMum · 22/04/2022 13:51

Chrispackhamspoodle

Would love a link to the IKEA hanging rail please. 😁

LostMyUserName · 22/04/2022 14:23

WLAH · 20/04/2022 17:54

All weather clothes line

Love my air fryer too

Please can you tell me more about the clothes line @WLAH?

WLAH · 22/04/2022 14:42

LostMyUserName · 22/04/2022 14:23

Please can you tell me more about the clothes line @WLAH?

Means I can put the clothes out while at work and doesn't matter if it rains. We don't have a tumble dryer

What have you bought that's changed your life for the better?
Itsalloutofwhack · 22/04/2022 14:57

@ZenKaleidoscope i got this one but only because I am a bit of an immediate satisfaction kind of gal, and it was on the shelf in Asda when I decided I needed a steam mop in my life! Others with more / different functionality are available.
