Do you go up to bed with a cup of tea?

I drink several cups of tea a day, the past week I've started to take one up to bed whilst I watch TV for an hour (I'm single) and brush my teeth after. This is the cuppa I enjoy the most! I go straight to sleep after as I think I'm immune to caffeine.
Anyone else have a bed time cuppa? Decaf doesn't count 😁

Not always but I did last night. I was in bed by 9pm with a cup of tea and my crochet Grin

goaskmum · 13/03/2022 21:15

Yes, I love tea. It’s usually the last thing I drink at night and the first thing I drink in the morning!

Oldraver · 13/03/2022 21:15

Just lying on the bed waiting for my cuppa to get to ideal temp

It's not a thing I do religiously but when I'm on my own

Every single night for as long as I can remember!

Chisontoast · 13/03/2022 21:16

Every night!

PeacefulPrune · 13/03/2022 21:17

I can't even have decaf in the late afternoon because there's still enough caffeine in it to stop me from sleeping.

I'm jealous of you.

SundayTeatime · 13/03/2022 21:18

Never. It wouldn’t occur to me. My last cup of tea will be around 4pm.

gospelsinger · 13/03/2022 21:18

Yep. I couldn't drink coffee at night, but tea is fine.

Devonchills · 13/03/2022 21:18

I would love to, it's my favourite drink.
But I'd be awake all night, I have to have my last one by about 4pm or its no sleep for me

Fandangoes · 13/03/2022 21:18

Every single night forever! I don’t think I could go to bed without a cuppa!

ReadyToMoveIt · 13/03/2022 21:19

No, vile stuff.

NeverDropYourMooncup · 13/03/2022 21:20

DP makes me a ginger tea last thing and that is just as nice without caffeine.

For me, morning is coffee, afternoon is tea, then ginger for bedtime. Best of all worlds.

halfsiesonapotnoodle · 13/03/2022 21:20

I often have a camomile tea in bed.

Readyforspring · 13/03/2022 21:20

Occasionally if we watch tv in bed.

Funkyslippers · 13/03/2022 21:21

No, it would keep me awake and I'd need the loo several times! I have camomile tea at 8.30, my last drink of the day (yes, I'm crazy!). My last cup of normal tea is no later than about 5pm

dudsville · 13/03/2022 21:21

Having a drink before bed would mean I would wake up being the loo in the night, so I don't, but if this weren't the case I toady would. Such a comforting thing to do! But mine would def be decaf.

purplecorkheart · 13/03/2022 21:22

No, I am very sensitive to caffine and tend to avoid it after about 1pm during the day, I am not a huge fan of herbal or floral tea although I enjoy Jasmin tea (but not easily got near me). I am envious though.

AuntFlorence · 13/03/2022 21:22

I don't drink a lot of black tea, but I will take up a green tea or herbal blend of some kind. I love taking a hot drink up to bed.

LaTomatina1 · 13/03/2022 21:22

I totally would as I drink at least 8 cups a day, but I can't drink in the hour or so before bed or I have to get up in the night for a wee

irregularegular · 13/03/2022 21:23

No. Never take drink to bed. And only have a drink in bed in the morning about once a year!

No proper tea after about 5pm. Often have a herbal in the evening but never ever in bed. Once I'm in bed I want to lie down!

BGJO · 13/03/2022 21:24

I have been having a sleepwell before bed recently and I really do sleep well.

Nietzschethehiker · 13/03/2022 21:24

Nope only because I'm already on at least two loo trips before sleep as it is (when my routine is so defined DP only settles properly after no 2 you start watching your bedtime drinks)

That said I get coffee brought to me every morning that I drink in bed while dp entertains the troops and its the best drink all day.

Abouttimemum · 13/03/2022 21:24

Yes I do, if not a tea then a Horlicks. I like a hot drink before bed, and yea it does usually mean I need to get up for the loo about 10 mins after lights out!

blinder · 13/03/2022 21:24

How do all you late night tea lovers not ending doing a wee at 1am, 2am, 4am and 6am??
