Do you go up to bed with a cup of tea?

I drink several cups of tea a day, the past week I've started to take one up to bed whilst I watch TV for an hour (I'm single) and brush my teeth after. This is the cuppa I enjoy the most! I go straight to sleep after as I think I'm immune to caffeine.
Anyone else have a bed time cuppa? Decaf doesn't count 😁

Every night for me too

EITTYBreck · 13/03/2022 21:50

Yes! Waiting for mine to brew. Without milk.

BurgerKingAddict · 13/03/2022 21:52

A cup of tea in bed with something good to watch on your phone is absolute perfection for me.
I even have a special ‘going to bed’ cup.
I don’t care how boring this makes me as I am totally happy Grin

Never. I'd be up for the loo half an hour after going to sleep.

shinynewapple22 · 13/03/2022 21:53

Yes! First thing in the morning and last thing at night .

godmum56 · 13/03/2022 21:54

nope, its a pain in the bum to get out of bed to brush my teeth.

notacooldad · 13/03/2022 21:55

No I always take a pi t if water with me just in case I feel thirsty. I usually dont need it but I like to have it nearby.

tinkywinkyshandbag · 13/03/2022 21:56

No because I'd be up all night weeing if I did. Also you'd have to get out of bed again after you got all cosy to clean your teeth.

NotaCoolMum · 13/03/2022 21:57

Yes! I have a Contiga travel mug that keeps it HOT through the night so if I stir in the night I have a hot cuppa at my bedside! ☕️🫖

Smokeahontas · 13/03/2022 21:59

If I’ve had a really shit day, then bed with tea & a bag / bar of something chocolatey is the bees knees. In order of preference

  1. Fruit & Nut
  2. Minstrels
  3. Cadburys Caramel Buttons, only if they’ve had at least 1 hour in the fridge.
reluctantbrit · 13/03/2022 22:02

yes but it's Earl Grey Decaff. I just like the hot drink and I hate anything like fruit or herbal teas or horlicks.

I normally manage to go through the night without a loo visit.

Georgeskitchen · 13/03/2022 22:02

Hell no I'd be weeing all night 🤣😍

rainbowandglitter · 13/03/2022 22:03

No I don't eat or drink in bed.

Byeeefornow · 13/03/2022 22:07

I occasionally have one at 9pm but it takes the edge off my morning cuppa which I love.

MustDust · 13/03/2022 22:07

Absolutely, I get up for a wee in the night whether I have tea or not but it doesn't affect my sleep. Best brew of the day is the first one though, I'm always disappointed when that one is empty. Both DH and DDad will get up in the night for a brew if they wake up and will go back to sleep, I couldn't do that though.

Rupertpenrysmistress · 13/03/2022 22:08

I do and really enjoy it. I sleep really well to.

sofakingcool · 13/03/2022 22:11

Not tea, but I do like to go to bed with a horlicks Grin

I could drink tea though, caffeine doesn't seem to bother me. Something that annoys DH as he can't drink tea/coke after 5pm or he's up all night!

Katya213 · 13/03/2022 22:12

Yes I do and with my chocolate treat for the day.

Loki64 · 13/03/2022 22:15

I don't drink tea very often. But laying in bed having a browse before i go to sleep, have to say I came across this post and have dashed downstairs to make a cup of tea!!

Guineapigssweak · 13/03/2022 22:18

Yes my Husband and I do and sometimes have a glass of milk. Tea in the morning in bed also. Have drunk tea from about 6 years of age when my mum would make it in a teapot. It's the perfect drink!!

SirenSays · 13/03/2022 22:18

No, if I take a hot drink to bed it's a hot chocolate

22WR · 13/03/2022 22:28

Absolutely! It's my favourite brew of the day!

CBFA · 13/03/2022 22:28

Couldnt as I'd be dragging myself to the loo a few hours later, so have a rule not to drink past 7.30 in the evening...but would love to

HelloDaisy · 13/03/2022 22:29

I always had a cup of tea in bed at night but since being thrown in peri menopause I can’t drink caffeine after lunchtime as I am then awake all night…

I now have a turmeric or sleepy tea which doesn’t affect my sleep!

Hesma · 13/03/2022 22:31

Not regularly any more because I’d need a wee about 3am. Nothing to do with the caffeine. Love a late night cuppa.
