Do you go up to bed with a cup of tea?

I drink several cups of tea a day, the past week I've started to take one up to bed whilst I watch TV for an hour (I'm single) and brush my teeth after. This is the cuppa I enjoy the most! I go straight to sleep after as I think I'm immune to caffeine.
Anyone else have a bed time cuppa? Decaf doesn't count 😁

Not any more . I find tea stops me sleeping if I drink it after about 3pm even moe than coffee does which great for.my sleep either. I was fine with strong coffee and tea at bedtime until I was in my late 40s but not any more Sad

I do most evenings

@LaTomatina1 I couldn’t be without it! In fact, I think I’m going to go and make myself a cup of tea right now!

EventuallyDelighted · 13/03/2022 21:27

No, I used to but now it's a choice between that or getting up for a wee in the night I'd rather not be woken by my bladder. Even decaff is risky.

FairWindClearSailing · 13/03/2022 21:27

This sounds so cosy but I'd be up going to the toilet all night if I drank a full mug of tea right before bed!

Pinchofnom · 13/03/2022 21:28

Always. I love a cup of tea before bed. It’s the best!

LaTomatina1 · 13/03/2022 21:28

I've just downed mine as it was just the right temperature. It was by far the best cuppa all day. I have no idea why.

Often.

VampireMoney · 13/03/2022 21:28

Yes every single night! Currently in bed scrolling MN with my cuppa

PurpleThursdays · 13/03/2022 21:30

Got my brew with me now. I don't drink anything other than tea and get through loads of it a day. Never wake up needing a wee, I pee after I brush my teeth and that's me settled for the night

stimpyyouidiot · 13/03/2022 21:30

This sounds lovely. I miss tea. Pregnant and gone right off it :(

maddy68 · 13/03/2022 21:30

Always a cup of coffee to go to bed with

If I'm wide awake in the middle of the night, a cup of herbal tea always helps me get back to sleep

Carrieb1978 · 13/03/2022 21:34

My mum makes a cup of tea during the night if she cant sleep- always has!! Makes me laugh but she must be immune to caffeine too.

Me too, but early 40s for me. Just a few years ago I could have a lovely strong coffee after dinner - it was my second favourite coffee, after the first one in the morning, of course.

Can't do it any more. A sniff of caffeine after about 12-1.00pm and I can't sleep well. Peppermint tea it is!

ISpyCobraKai · 13/03/2022 21:35

All the time.

belle40 · 13/03/2022 21:36

I do! I'm just about to make mine now!

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 13/03/2022 21:37

Yes. I've done since I was a kid.

Gilead · 13/03/2022 21:40

Coffee or occasional hot chocolate, every night. No TV but always a ball of wool and a crochet hook.

RebeccaManderley · 13/03/2022 21:44

I drink milky tea all day and enjoy my last one in bed with my book before going to sleep. I would get up for the loo during the night even if I drink my last tea earlier.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 13/03/2022 21:45

Always. Cup of tea (no milk), book or Kindle.

ParkheadParadise · 13/03/2022 21:48

I'm in bed with a large Brandy n coke. I save my tea for the morning.

XenoBitch · 13/03/2022 21:50

I do intermittent fasting, so my last drink with any calories in is consumed by 6pm. I did used to have chamomile tea, but I ended up getting out of bed for a pee an hour later.
