Mine was Disney's Peter Pan. I was six. I really wanted to be Wendy, and asked my dad on the way out "How old is Wendy?" He replied "About ten, I think." I was really cross with him! Smile

ET with my dad. It’s still one of my favourite films. I remember queuing round the block for it.

FourTeaFallOut · 13/02/2022 19:34

E.T. here too with a bonus sticker book to boot.

SpinningTheSeedsOfLove · 13/02/2022 19:34

We used to go the matinee on Saturday morning which was cartoons and then a made-for-children short film. First feature film was probably something like The Love Bug.

NoWordForFluffy · 13/02/2022 19:34

E.T. here too! I also had a sticker book. 😁

Imabouttoexplode · 13/02/2022 19:35

bruffin · 13/02/2022 19:39

Cant remember over 50 years ago. It was probably Snow White or another Disney. I remember seeing Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the cinema which came out when I was 6

HPandTheNeverEndingBedtime · 13/02/2022 19:40

My parents tell me it was Oliver and Company but I don't remember that. The first film I remember seeing at the cinema was An American Tail: Fieval goes west

ISeeTheLight · 13/02/2022 19:41

The Jungle Book. Must have been a re-release as I was 4 or 5 and around 1990. Went with my mum and we had some kind of frozen cherry pralines as a treat. Loved it.

StiggyZardust · 13/02/2022 19:42

Bambi with my Dad. We were on holiday and he took me to the cinema in Great Yarmouth.

Mrsjrewing3 · 13/02/2022 19:43

The Jungle Book, the early 1980s. My dad was instructed by mum to take me to the cinema so I could get some peace from my newborn little sister

Usernameisgone · 13/02/2022 19:44

The first one I remember is then original Space Jam film!
More so the memory of my aunty sneaking in cans of cider in her bag and letting me try it 😂 I was around 10.

magicstar1 · 13/02/2022 19:44

Dumbo. I crawled on to my mother’s lap sobbing. I still haven’t rewatched it.

Mabelface · 13/02/2022 19:45

dementedma · 13/02/2022 19:46

Mary Poppins ( the first version!)

Ginger1982 · 13/02/2022 19:47

I'm told it was Bambi, but I don't remember. The first one I remember was Oliver & Company.

Gutenpranken · 13/02/2022 19:47

Return of the Jedi. I was about 4 and so scared of Jabba the Hutt I cried and had to be silenced with a Milky Way.

cactuschris · 13/02/2022 19:47

I would have sworn it was Who Framed Roger Rabbit? but it must have been Santa Claus: The Movie as that was released 3 years earlier apparently!

BasiliskFace · 13/02/2022 19:47

Snow White. It must have been a re-release as I wasn’t around the first time! Around 1979/80 when I was four or five.
Then ET in 1982.
Then I didn’t go to the cinema again until Star Trek the Voyage Home in 1987. It wasn’t really a regular thing for us!
