Mine was Disney's Peter Pan. I was six. I really wanted to be Wendy, and asked my dad on the way out "How old is Wendy?" He replied "About ten, I think." I was really cross with him! Smile

FourTeaFallOut. I still can't believe it's rated 'U'. I was only 4 years old - I am guessing my dad, who took me, imagined a nice cuddly film about fluffy bunnies 😂

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 13/02/2022 20:04

Santa claus the movie like @cactuschris - the cinema gave out posters which was exciting.

Can't remember! But, I think I remember movies having an interval? Have I imagined that? In the late 80s/early 90s?

I remember seeing White Fang, Beauty and The Beast and My Girl (cried my eyes out at the last two)

OvertiredOverthinker · 13/02/2022 20:05

It was Disney’s Pocahontas when I was about 6 or 7. We were taken by a friend of mum’s and it felt like a real treat! Though I remember us kiddies all there with our mini bags of popcorn and thinking the adults’ bags were bloody enormous!

Escape from the dark when I was 6 so1976. Sobbed my heart out and have never watched it since.

HPandTheNeverEndingBedtime · 13/02/2022 20:11

I remember we had to leave early from Jumanji as my younger brother became hysterical at one point and was sobbing.

BuddhaForMary · 13/02/2022 20:25

Parents never took us to the cinema, so my first time going was as a teen and it was Wayne's World. I went with my brother and his friends.

TheDoveFromAboveCooCoo · 13/02/2022 20:25

Jurassic park. I was terrified!!

MagnoliatheMagnificent · 13/02/2022 20:27

The Water Babies, love it.

GiveMyHeadPeaceffs · 13/02/2022 20:28

Bugsy Malone. I would have been 3 when it was first released but it must've taken a couple of years to get to NI as I was about 5 or 6 when I saw it and absolutely loved it!

PlanetNormal · 13/02/2022 20:30

Star Wars, in 1977. I was 6.

The Care Bear Movie

FruityPolos · 13/02/2022 20:44

Disney's Jungle book around 1983. With my dad, my mum was at home with my baby sister, I would have been around 3 or 4. The thing I remember most is my dad taking me in the paper shop next to the cinema and I could chose any sweet I wanted for the cinema. I chose a mint aero 😁

Mrsjayy · 13/02/2022 20:46

Aladdin for me, circa 1992.
