Mine was Disney's Peter Pan. I was six. I really wanted to be Wendy, and asked my dad on the way out "How old is Wendy?" He replied "About ten, I think." I was really cross with him! Smile

Who's That Girl, the film starring Madonna. I was taken by my older sister aged 7! That is the first one I remember seeing anyway.

BasiliskFace · 14/02/2022 11:36

@iklboo

The one I remember was reshowing of The Jungle Book. I was five, I think.

Apparently my folks took me to see Cinderella when I was younger than that and I stood on my seat shouting 'DON'T EAT THE APPLE! DON'T EAT THE APPLE!'

Wouldn't it have been Snow White with the apple? I haven't seen the Disney Cinderella, mind you!
Mrsjayy · 14/02/2022 12:17

There is no apples in cinderella 😀

Clawdy · 15/02/2022 10:16

Yes, sounds like Snow White.

Little Mermaid

PleaseYourselfandEatTheCrusts · 15/02/2022 21:56

I remember I cried my heart out at the end!!!

FindmeuptheFarawaytree · 15/02/2022 22:02

I think it was either The Lion King or Thumbelina.

TDCtomorrow · 15/02/2022 22:05

Would have been late 70's or early 80's I remember going to see one of the Herby films

AnneElliott · 15/02/2022 22:06

Yet another for ET. Apparently I talked all the way through it.

MostIneptThatEverStepped · 15/02/2022 22:06

Song Of The South which is the Disney film that must never be mentioned.

Kgutdfn · 15/02/2022 22:08

Three men and a little lady. Still love that film too.

Mrsjayy · 15/02/2022 22:08

Oh I remember song of the south one of the most racist films ever made Shock

supercatlady · 15/02/2022 22:12

I think it was Bambi

Imissprosecco · 15/02/2022 22:15

The Little Mermaid. The fire alarm went off half way through and we were evacuated. I was 3 or 4. One of my earliest memories.

MrsBerthaRochester · 15/02/2022 22:16

Snow white when I was 3/4. I renember there was another movie on before it which Im sure was about a little mexican boy?
I remember I fell asleep and that my mum was harassed by a guy on the bus going home.

Seemssounfair · 15/02/2022 22:19

I never went to the cinema as a child, ever 🎻

ItWasARayGun · 15/02/2022 22:20

Bambi. I think I was about 5. It scarred me for life.

Mrsjayy · 15/02/2022 22:24

Oh god the pirate ET videos you had to squint and even then you saw nothing ! I think top gun was the first film I went to with friends to see. Tom Cruise was such a heart throb now he's just weird.

Mrsjayy · 15/02/2022 22:25

We stayed in a block of flats and I think ET went round the all.l

jellybe · 15/02/2022 23:06

The little mermaid I was 5 or 6. I loved it. Was just me and my mum on a rare girls day and it just felt so special.

MostIneptThatEverStepped · 15/02/2022 23:06

I don't really remember it to be fair but yes, I can imagine it was extremely racist 😑
Dinosauratemydaffodils · 15/02/2022 23:27

Sleeping Beauty. I was 4 and Maleficent terrified me. That was a little cinema on an RAF base abroad. My first proper big cinema was E.T. According to my mum I was more taken by the fancy German cinema with sweets, posters and trailers than I was the film.

GrandTheftWalrus · 15/02/2022 23:29

Addams family values with my mum. She was raging because she wanted to see aladdin.

lapasion · 16/02/2022 00:08

My Girl. I’m still not over the bee scene.

KitKattaktik · 16/02/2022 00:57

Star Wars. I was nearly 8 and insisted that I wanted to see it because my brother of 10 was going to see it.

I hated it. Grin
