Just come downstairs to make a cuppa as baby DD has only just gone to sleep and it's so cold. Heating is set to 18 at night, and it's not come ok but it's soo chilly. We have a modern house but loads of windows 🥶

No heating at all at night
15 tog duvet
Had heating on earlier so it's 14 degrees now so I've had to take my pyjamas off in bed

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 13/01/2022 23:16

I can't bear the heating on at night ,it's off from 11-7

Excitedforxmas · 13/01/2022 23:17

Nothing .

SheWolfOFFrancee · 13/01/2022 23:17

14 at night 17 in the day but if I had my way it would be 15 or 16 in the day.

Anything over 18 is too hot for me. Layers and hot water bottles for anyone else!

Whattochoosenow · 13/01/2022 23:17

Heating is off at night. Comes on at 7 am for an hour . Then on between 4pm and 8pm. We light the log burner anytime between lunchtime and dinner.

Orangesox · 13/01/2022 23:17

Heating? At Night? Not a chance… that’s what a dressing gown and slippers are for!

nocoolnamesleft · 13/01/2022 23:17

14 at night, though very rarely kicks in.

TrashyPanda · 13/01/2022 23:17

Our heating goes off at 10.30pm.
I go up to bed between 11.30 and midnight.
Never had it on at night.
It’s so mild this winter that the heating was on for an hour when we got up this morning then off til 6.30pm

Redshoeblueshoe · 13/01/2022 23:18

I never have the heating on at night

MaryStuart · 13/01/2022 23:18

No heating on at night, during the day however, tropical! 🏖😎

Smeds · 13/01/2022 23:20

I never put the heating on at night. Latest its on is 8pm. After that we have blankets on the sofa.

Luredbyapomegranate · 13/01/2022 23:22

It goes off at night

Might turn it on once every few years during a really cold snap

elelel · 13/01/2022 23:22

I put it off at night.

TooMuchSugar22 · 13/01/2022 23:23

20/21

MacNTosh · 13/01/2022 23:25

17, 21/22 during the day.

Poshjock · 13/01/2022 23:26

16 overnight. I have a bloody memory foam mattress and it's like an oven. Need a cold ish room to hang a limb out to survive the heat under the duvet - and it's only a 9 tog. Worse purchase ever that matress.

In the dead of winter the heating does come on a little in the small hours. Coldest I've seen is 14 when the heating stalled one night.

PiesNotGuys · 13/01/2022 23:27

5 at night to stop the pipes freezing.

When I had baby dc though we didn’t have central heating at all, so none.

Pegasussnail · 13/01/2022 23:28

Turn it off about 7pm we have a stove (coal) and some nights we light it. Then have the heat on after work about 4pm

We don't like the house too stuff. It is quite warm and well insulated

Bunnyfuller · 13/01/2022 23:29

0645-0745 18

Off the rest of the time. I have jumpers and throws. I do not have a bank balance for huge gas bills.

olddognknewtricks · 13/01/2022 23:29

I have a new build, so the thermostat requires a temperature overnight. It only comes on if it drops below that, so it's mostly off. I don't think you can put under 5 degrees as it's a pipe freezing risk.

Most of you lot are ice queens 😂

Our heating goes off at 7pm and on at 7am. Set at 21C all day as DH and I work from home but are happy under a blanket on the sofa in the evening once DC have gone to bed. Hate feeling cold when working during the day.
