A pug that destroyed everything called Fu Man Chew

Hemingwayscatz · 06/01/2022 11:41

I like it when they have human names. My aunt’s dog is Gordon and the one before that was Jake, she talks about them like they are humans and it makes me laugh. I met a poodle called John once and a lab called Brian.

Unicornspirit · 06/01/2022 11:42

Brother and sister, Boycie and Marlene.
Awesome names for dogs

JauntyJinty · 06/01/2022 11:42

Achilies

So you can should "Achilies Heel" and then when they don't so it say "They're really well trained, that's their one weakness"

emmathedilemma · 06/01/2022 11:43

I agree @Hemingwayscatz know a dog called Steve and a colleague recently introduced his cat called Dave to me on a Teams meeting!

Hoppinggreen · 06/01/2022 11:44

Diogi
I think it’s from a cartoon but I have met one in real like as well.
I like very respectable old person names for dogs - like Reginald or Mabel

JustJoinedRightNow · 06/01/2022 11:45

We met a black dog called Loki the Dog (like God) of Mischief which we thought was awesome. He looked totally mischievous too.

MONSTERSALAD · 06/01/2022 11:45

I have only heard of this dog second hand, but it was called 'The Lydney Widger', or 'Widge' for short. My source was reliable.

I've also always had a soft spot for 'Dog' from Good Omens.

Puffykins · 06/01/2022 11:47

In one of the Jilly Cooper books one of the characters - it was Seb or Dom - had a dog they called Decorum, so they could exercise it....

MessedOfTimes · 06/01/2022 11:48

We intercepted an enormous runaway “puppy” on our street recently. As gorgeous and friendly as he was HUGE! Turns out we misheard the name being yelled, but we like our version better, so he’ll forever be “Fluffer” to us 😂

Hyenaormeercat · 06/01/2022 11:48

Furlough...

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 06/01/2022 11:48

Hovis for a cocker spaniel

PinkWaferBiscuit · 06/01/2022 11:48

We have a few amusing ones near us, must be something in the water. We used to see these ones quite often on our daily walks during covid lockdowns.

There's a lady with 2 dulex style old English sheepdogs, always impeccably groomed called Teeny and Tiny

There's a man who has a St Bernard called St Bernard

And a stylish young women who always looks incredibly serious with 3 sausage dogs called Cumberland, Savaloy and Chipolata.

I'd honestly love a dog at some point in the future but I'm not sure I could live up to the naming standards set by my neighbours. Grin

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 06/01/2022 11:49

or Fenton...
