Snoop. His medication says snoop, dog.
This has just reminded me that any correspondence from the vet came addressed: Giggorata - Trollop.

@Buytoomuchonebay

Colin He’s just the sweetest dog I’ve ever met I must ask where his owner got his name from
I named my cat Colin and he was really sweet too. My mum named his brother George after her dad and she called our dog Emma after Emma Peel played by Diana Rigg in The Avengers. It suited her because she was a saluki and so beautiful and elegant.
Lily019 · 06/01/2022 12:50

Bob. My tough, no nonsense, little Jack Russell. Sadly no longer with us. But definitely suited his name.

Twitchynose · 06/01/2022 12:50

@CockingASnook

A boxer called Punch. Personally I prefer human names. I've still not got over the tragic story of Alan the dachshund in Conde Nast's revolving door.
I'm the opposite, pets aren’t human so why give them human names? I appreciate that they’re nicer than some humans though and definitely part of the family. My neighbour’s dog was called Miss Chief, she definitely lived up to her name!
MadisonAvenue · 06/01/2022 12:51

I sometimes see a dog called Graham when I’m out walking mine (who is called Bill) which never fails to make me giggle, and yesterday our local police posted about one of their dogs who is called Kev 😂

couchparsnip · 06/01/2022 12:51

A friend of mine from the North East often says 'Haway' meaning 'come on then' - as in 'Haway the lads' etc. She called her dog Howie. 'Haway, Howie' sounds great in her accent Smile

Ihaventgottimeforthis · 06/01/2022 12:52

I sometimes wish I had called my dog Noddy, because he's got Big Ears.

CheesyWeez · 06/01/2022 12:54

I know second hand of a Great Dane called Gus and first hand of a Great Dane called George. George was enormous, I had a call to their house regarding youths causing annoyance and the lady of the house said George likes women in uniform as I walked in, I was like er ok, thinking George was human! Sat taking details and this monster dog walked in, saw me, galloped towards me and 'rested' his head on my knees... his head weighed a ton and I was "so can you describe the kids to me" as I slowly slid off of the couch onto my knees and then George 'rested' his head on my shoulder, I took the rest of the statement on the floor.. they didn't bat an eyelid!

I've had -
Prince - German Shepherd
Sandy - Poodle
Corrie - German Shepherd

Currently have,

Cooper - German Shepherd
Bailey - Greek shepherd
