How old were you when you first got a mortgage?

My DD is 22 and buying her first house. She was lucky to leave university and get a well paid job and really wants to get onto the property ladder. (We are assisting with a deposit however!)

Anyway it got me thinking - how old were you when you got your mortgage? I was 30 odd so 22 seems very young to me

23. It was a teeny tiny house furnished with my parents cast offs. The only thing new was my cat who I got as a kitten the week after I moved in.

29...so graduated and had a few years of shared houses and rented flats before I took the plunge!

First house when I was about 23. Then 7 years later got divorced and had to sell that. Bought again last year when 37!

I was a week shy of my 23rd birthday when we moved into our house.

23 in 2012. Grotty flat but it got me on the ladder!
