The account just made no sense, and I suspect the press knew /suspected also and reflected this in their reporting.

Poor Caroline. I knew it was him, and the police did too. It reminded me of Rachel O'Reilly in Ireland, her husband also gave a tv interview after he'd murdered her and everyone thought it was him, including her poor mother sat next to him during thr interview. That fucker has never admitted it.
