Glitter Bomb?

AlexaNow · 06/05/2021 20:42

Someone sent DP a glitter / tiny penis confetti to work. He opened it at work and was covered in tiny penis confetti and glitter. It was all over him, his desk and floor. He opened it in his office and was embarrassed but is now fuming. He's contacted the company that sent it - to try and find out who sent it to him. Their email bounces back and they don't pick up the phone.

I'm wondering if this counts as criminal damage or harassment and he should report it to the police.

It was a tube that looked like a small poster tube. When he pulled the top off, there was a spring inside and it propelled the glitter and tiny penis confetti everywhere.

He thinks his ex sent it.

🤣

As far as I am aware, criminal damage has to have actually damaged something, and harassment has to be a pattern of behaviour, not a single incident.

This is...just a bloody nuisance, isn't it? I'd have told him to hoover it up and move on.

AlexaNow · 06/05/2021 20:47

Glitter is impossible to clean up. So in theory it has caused damage.

This post has definitely given me ideas

I can think of a few people I’d like to send those to!

sadpapercourtesan · 06/05/2021 20:49

No, it isn't, it goes up the hoover. If there's a trace amount left behind, it isn't going to hurt anybody. There's no damage.

Annoying, but you're overreacting.

Phone 101 and report it. By this time of evening the call takers could probably do with a good laugh

Something making a mess is not the same as damage 🙄

HelpMeh · 06/05/2021 20:51

No idea if it's illegal. It's funny though Grin😂😅 sorry not sorry

I'm pretty sure that these are designed to annoy people and the companies are set up so you can't find out who sent them.

HelpMeh · 06/05/2021 20:53

Although perhaps he'd have a case if he got a tiny penis in the eye. Did he?

Thanks for this thread Grin

No, it really doesn't.

Dugee · 06/05/2021 20:54

Is your DP my cheating ex?

If so, I used the below company. I suggest you read the "who sent me this product" section to see how far you'd get tracing the sender.

www.ruindays.com/pages/support

I sent the tiny dick bomb to my cheating ex about 3 years ago. I followed it up a couple of weeks later with a butthurt report postcard. Never heard anything and he would have known it was me.

Redglitter · 06/05/2021 20:55

There's no way the company who sent it will tell him anything. That's part of their selling point - total anonymity (well so I've heard 🤔)

SageRosemary · 06/05/2021 20:56

What did he do to piss off his ex?

Hexinthecity · 06/05/2021 20:57

@dugee 😂

Docsmix · 06/05/2021 20:57

No idea but she's obviously got a reason to send it Grin

accentdusoleil · 06/05/2021 20:59

Maybe he should ask his ex ?

Thoughtcontagion · 06/05/2021 20:59

I’m hiding my debit card and coming off line got too many people to send too

As an ex police officer I’d love to take this report though and gather the offending glitter/small penis as exhibit A Grin would cheer me right up

feelinggeriatric · 06/05/2021 20:59

What a fantastic marketing post! Also have my eye on this now!

Brieminewine · 06/05/2021 21:00

That’s hilarious 🤣🤣

Does he have a tiny penis or could you prosecute the sender for defamation of character also?

alajahavhh · 06/05/2021 21:00

😂🤣
