Glitter Bomb?

262 replies

AlexaNow · 06/05/2021 20:42

Someone sent DP a glitter / tiny penis confetti to work. He opened it at work and was covered in tiny penis confetti and glitter. It was all over him, his desk and floor. He opened it in his office and was embarrassed but is now fuming. He's contacted the company that sent it - to try and find out who sent it to him. Their email bounces back and they don't pick up the phone.

I'm wondering if this counts as criminal damage or harassment and he should report it to the police.

Too tempting not to name change...

@AlexaNow

Glitter is impossible to clean up. So in theory it has caused damage.
Until the first lockdown I cleaned an office, where the people loved Christmas....which included lots of glitter....it hoovers up! Though he may keep finding it for a while!

And also. if that happened to my husband we'd have found it hilarious!

If that happened to my husband, he'd have assumed they were from me! Grin

@AlexaNow if your DH is known for not having much of a sense of humour, these could have even come from the office clown because, well, it is actually rather funny and is only made funnier by someone that doesn't find it funny.

If he was constantly the target of similar pranks/jokes though there does come a line where it becomes bullying, but a one off glitter bomb of unknown origin, is just really rather funny.

AlexaNow · 07/05/2021 16:23

I am starting to see the funny side. It's just because he was so cross yesterday, it got me wound up too. And yes I think the police would laugh - although they might have to take a statement and log it. If he does go to the police, I'm not going to be part of it.

I’m glad you’re being more reasonable OP. But did DP get laughed at again today? And does he like my username?

AlexaNow · 07/05/2021 16:36

He worked from home today and has only been taking calls from people who wouldn't make jokes about it. He's moved from cross to sulking. Although he's infuriated because he can't get hold of anyone at the company who sent it.

@AlexaNow

You'll have to help him figure out how to get his "revenge"

Fart Spray, maybe

AlexaNow · 07/05/2021 17:18

He's still convinced it's his ex. I can't see it. They've fallen out before and she's never done anything like this before. I think it's probably a colleague.

TinyGlitteryDicks · 07/05/2021 17:30

I think the company who sent it are making it as difficult as possible to get hold of anyone for a reason.

Puntastic · 07/05/2021 17:32

I think it's you who sent it OP, and you started this thread to quietly revel in your fiendish plan while throwing him off the scent.

TinyGlitteryDicks · 07/05/2021 17:36

I keep singing this in my head. Dick bomb, dick bomb, dick bomb. Maybe you should try it while you're wandering round the house Grin. Might cheer him up. Hope he stops sulking and doesn't ruin the weekend.

Dugee · 07/05/2021 17:43

Although I'd have questioned why he was shedding glitter when he got home.

Bless his little cotton socks.

Doghead · 07/05/2021 17:44

Actually cannot believe this thread is still going 😂 I'm certain the police have better things to deal with. Your husband sounds like a right big girls blouse 😂

Dugee · 07/05/2021 17:45

@TinyGlitteryDicks

I like it, has quite the ring to it.

"Dick bomb, dick bomb, you're a dick bomb" 😂😂😂

LadyGAgain · 07/05/2021 17:57

He needs to get a sense of humour.

TinyPenisConfetti · 07/05/2021 18:14

The problem is, if he has a reputation for tantrumming in the office, some clown is going to see him as a target for stuff like this. Given his reaction to this, there may be more to come. Keep us posted Grin.

SpringLoadedJizz · 07/05/2021 18:15

@TinyGlitteryDicks That's all I'll hear with that song from now on. Grin

ILoveFlumps · 07/05/2021 18:25

Dugee Can we be friends please? I think you're my kind of person Grin

GlitteryDickBomb · 07/05/2021 18:26

Doing things to people who you don't like in an attempt to cause them distress, bad. The company is surely on pretty thin legal ground if helps people harass people.

Distressed is bad but the OP's partner is cross and fuming, not distressed. Sounds like he's got a rep for taking himself too seriously and someone is laughing at this. It isn't harassment.

ComDummings · 07/05/2021 18:45

Thoughts and prayers hun

Oh hell yeah.

Now that he’s pegged as the humourless office sulker the glitter (/shit) is really going to hit the fan! Grin

AnonGlitterBomb · 07/05/2021 18:55

He may as well not bother trying to contact the company. It will all be for nothing because they won’t blab.
I would know...

HelpMeh · 07/05/2021 18:57

Hope for his sake he doesn't find one of these on his desk on Monday morning GrinGrin
