A friend told me today that they've finally named their new Shih tzu puppy who they got a week ago. He's gorgeous and fluffy and they've chosen the name Monkey! I know it's none of my business but I really don't think that name suits him and it sounds a little bit silly... but it's kinda cute at the sane time I guess!

I named our kitten Noel Edmunds. I actually have no idea why. He reminded me of Noel Edmunds. Four years on and he’s a massive black bruiser, an absolute tank of a cat, he’s lovely when but you wouldn’t mess with him. He’d kill you in your sleep if you pissed him off. He’s nothing like Noel bloody Edmunds Confused

Some great names there! I read on MN once that someone had a cat called Fish because he didn't like eating any food with fish in it!

I used to be a vet nurse so have seen many silly cat/dog names.

My favourites were chairman meow (already mentioned I know) but he was a huge Persian and totally suited the name.

Also ceefor (cat) and deefor (dog)
