What's the funniest name you've heard of for a family pet?

A friend told me today that they've finally named their new Shih tzu puppy who they got a week ago. He's gorgeous and fluffy and they've chosen the name Monkey! I know it's none of my business but I really don't think that name suits him and it sounds a little bit silly... but it's kinda cute at the sane time I guess!

We have a cat named Megatron, which was funny when he was a little fluffy kitten but does make me cringe a bit when I have to call him in or take him to the vets. I always feel I have to explain that his name is a joke and we're not actually massive Transformers fans! He mostly gets calls Smegatron / Smegs / Smeggy now.

I knew of a cat called Anthea Turner, which I liked. I wanted to call our next cat Craig David but chickened out at the last minute.

@TinySongstress your kitten is sooooo cute! I think the name Mouse suits him actually... is he a British Blue?

Oh and we had a cat called Elvis. At his vet appointments the vet used to call "Is Elvis in the building" 😂 always raised a smile from me!

Many years ago my dgm found a ddog. Determined she wasn't keeping him she called him Nameless.
For 15 years!!

That reminds me of a dog that turned up in my dgm porch, he was there for several weeks and she shooed him away every morning. She was a very practical no nonsense widowed miners wife who was not known for being particularly soft hearted. After weeks of shooing him away she came down one morning and just opened the door and said "well if your not going to bugger off you may as well come in" that dog only ever known as 'dog' lived the life of Riley from that moment on.
