What do you have to turn off that's on TV because you can't stand the sound?

I just ran into the lounge from the kitchen because QI started. I hate the theme tune, I hate the claxons. I don't know if I'd like it as a quiz show because it's like listening to nails down a chalk board.
I had to stop watching Eastenders because of all the shouting.
Sports aren't great but football is a no go because of the crowd noise. Just as well DP isn't a football fan!
Anyone else got anything they have to turn off?

They just shout, scream and make continuous, unnecessary noise all the time. Can't stand it.

Mrs Brown's Boys. Every bloody voice, the music, the stupid fecking laughter.

Canned laughter and 'enhanced laughter' generally irritate me, so I also have to turn off Harry Hill's stuff.

Unfortunately my TV sits in an alcove - so that very slight tenseful osciallating hum which is so common in nearly every TV drama is completely unwatchable in our house - you probably dont even know what I am talking about as its pretty much white noise to people with an adequately positioned TV. Its like a subwoofer in a nightclub. I really feel for the neighbours

The theme tune to Gardeners World. You can hear fingers sliding up the guitar strings, which really sets my teeth on edge.

The constant ‘whoomping’ on any Christopher Nolan film soundtrack. It makes me feel ill. I once had to leave the cinema ten minutes into a Batman film he directed, because of that.

I have got to the age where the differences in volume are really noticeable.

My parents used to turn the sound off for the ads I thought wtf. Now I do it.

And in everything why are the action scenes a million times louder than the talking? FFS.

Another vote for Jimmy Carr. I cannot bear to hear that stupid fake laugh. There is an advert for a show with a clip of his laugh - why?! Hideous.

The adverts. Why are they still so much louder than the programmes?! Bonus if it mutes out 'perf with Surf'

One of those 999 emergency programmes about the hart team. The narrator's voice is so irritating. I think she has a Yorkshire accent, but it's nothing like mine; she says things like, "The victim... is in grerve dernger. They marght... not merke it out... alarve," in an overly serious and dramatic tone. Both dh and I rush to the remote to turn it over!
