I've been researching my family tree and there are a lot of surnames, mostly usual Irish, Scottish but some interesting ones and it got me thinking about surnames in general.

I always thought Italian surnames are very beautiful, Baccino, Santangelli.

I love ones that are simple such as Flower, Beach and Ocean too.

So, what's the most beautiful one you have ever heard?

I've always wanted to marry the BBC journalist Damian Grammaticas just so that I can become Mrs Grammaticas

Honeychurch. There was a girl at college called 'Aurora Honeychurch'. She was very beautiful and it really suited her.
It sounds like a Bond girl name Fantastic!

When we adopted our dog his previous surname (his family) was Warlock. It is so cool that we haven’t changed it to ours. So when we take both woofers to the vet, they can tell they don’t have the same parents (lab and spaniel 😂)

I met someone through work once with the surname Twinkle

I knew someone at university called Fleur Greentree which I loved

I was once left a message at work to ring a Mr Blackadder. I thought someone was playing a joke so ignored it. I had a very irate Mr Blackadder on the phone a couple of hours later wondering why no one had rung him 😆

Carruthers - it just oozes class to me, no idea why. It also goes very well with my first name.

I had a teacher once called Miss Plumtree, I always thought that was lovely.

JustFrigginNameChange · 03/04/2021 12:24

I had a teacher at school with the surname Roseblade. It's always stuck with me as being a nice surname. It makes me think of a small rose-gold ceremonial dagger, with roses etched into the hilt.

stillcrazyafterall · 03/04/2021 12:37

I was at school with a Darling and a Loving, and an Angel. They all hated their names, but with age you might grow to like them!

I just wanted something everyone could pronounce/spell!

In my family history I have a Gentle, which is quite nice.

Worst? I swear this is true - we had a Mr Brownjobs as a customer. Confused

BrotherlyLove · 03/04/2021 12:37
