I've been researching my family tree and there are a lot of surnames, mostly usual Irish, Scottish but some interesting ones and it got me thinking about surnames in general.

I always thought Italian surnames are very beautiful, Baccino, Santangelli.

I love ones that are simple such as Flower, Beach and Ocean too.

So, what's the most beautiful one you have ever heard?

Kilgarriff. It would go very well with my first name.

Someone mentioned "Scattergoose" on another thread. I'd love that!

I would be happy to have a precious stone, Diamond, sapphire, emerald etc. I always like Darling, Valentine and Truelove. I think Italian names sound very glamorous.

I used to work with a woman whose surname was Bastard, she always referred to her children as "The Little Bastards." Probably doesn't qualify as beautiful but it did make me smile.

AlfonsoTheTerrible · 03/04/2021 12:14

Boussiere.

ZiggZagg · 03/04/2021 12:16

Some beautiful names here, Valentine, Christmas and the precious stones ones are my favorites.

Not too keen on Bastard though, I suppose it would build a thick skin in someone!
