Just head that Prince Charles has been to visit him in hospital due to ‘exceptional circumstances’. He’s never visited him in hospital before and apparently left looking emotional. It doesn’t look good does it? I wonder how this will play out given the pandemic?

It reminds me of Captain Tom’s family being allowed in to see him in his last hours, though of course I hope I’m wrong. He is 99.

Even allowing for the Prince of Wales being accorded something most people will not be, I agree it may not look good. Though of course I hope I am completely wrong on this and the Duke of Edinburgh is able to return to Windsor Castle.

The hospital say they allow visits at the moment, despite lockdown, for exceptional circumstances. Hopefully those circumstances are that Philip is who is he and not because of what is wrong with him and it’s EOL.

The fact Harry announced he was quarantining so he could travel suggests he may have had an indication travelling would be needed or it could be a coincidence. Combined with other things there are lots of reasons to assume the worst but it’s not as if the royal family think of themselves as being like us with the same rules applying, so equally it might be a lot of speculation over nothing.

This makes me sad. I hope he isn't very poorly. I feel sad for the queen too, if it's end of life care and he has to stay in hospital, all eyes will be on her movements, meaning little or no privacy.

Of course there's speculation and interest. By a matter of mere birthright and marriage he's more important than everyone else. Surely we are allowed to discuss important people?

Well it won’t be a State funeral anyway. He’s already made it clear that that isn’t what he wants.

i dont think it is exceptional circumstances, i think they mean you are allowed to visit people in hospital which makes leaving your house an exceptional circumstance.
