What lockdown habit will you keep after this is all over?

I have a few I think

  • click and collect for shopping (find it actually easier than delivery).
  • weekly pasta subscription

Anything you’ve started that you’ll keep once we are back to normal (whenever that is).

Will also try to lose the drinking wine at every opportunity habit!

Going for runs.

underneaththeash · 04/02/2021 15:32

Nothing! I can't think of anything that is better than pre-covid.

Dressmaking! I make all my own clothes now, but I don't think I'll be able to keep going at the same rate once I have a social life again.

Fridget · 04/02/2021 15:36

Meal planning. I used to just go to the supermarket every day but as this is not the done thing in covid I’ve planned ahead and done a weekly shop which I’ll keep doing!

HerBigChance · 04/02/2021 15:37

Yoga

ChocOrange1 · 04/02/2021 15:37

Meal planning to avoid multiple shopping trips. Its saved us money and we have been eating more healthily.

Nsky · 04/02/2021 15:38

Duolingo, started French 10 months ago, going ok, it can only improve

purplebagladylovesgin · 04/02/2021 15:41

FaceTime calls to family that live a distance away. It's been a pleasure and one that I'd probably not have sought out if it hadn't been for the long gaps between seeing them last year.

It's lovely to sit with a coffee and face to face chat. It's as though they are sitting with us.

Enb76 · 04/02/2021 15:43

Running
Yoga
Meal planning
Using the local butcher, market for veg, fish etc
Shop once a week
WFH as much as possible

Northernsoullover · 04/02/2021 15:43

I'll keep up the face covering. Not to go shopping but on public transport and planes.

MyKingdomForACaramel · 04/02/2021 15:45

So many saying meal planning. I honestly cannot wait to not have to think so carefully about what I’m going to eat and when!

Avoiding people whenever possible 😆

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 04/02/2021 15:48

Family cooking. We are having a lot of fun picking random recipes to try in the cookbook. DDs are learning a lot.

DialsMavis · 04/02/2021 15:48

Running
Evening walks
Wfh some of the time
Leisure wear: I had PJs or Jeans before (not counting ugly exercise stuff). Now I have out of the house leisure wear (harems and leopard print tracksuit bottoms), loungewear (velour tracksuit), lovely exercise stuff and PJs... Comfy bliss!

Enb76 · 04/02/2021 15:49

So many saying meal planning.

It has saved me so much time and money and waste. I can't believe I didn't do it before really. My old way was buy some stuff and then see if I could make anything out of it, now I'm specifically buying ingredients I know I will use.

merrygoround88 · 04/02/2021 15:50

Nothing. I’ve really not improved upon myself at all during lockdown

merrygoround88 · 04/02/2021 15:51

On the meal planning subject that is what I don’t want to do post lockdown. I am deadly bored of a shopping trip per week. All I want to do is nip in and out of shops

50shadesoflunacy · 04/02/2021 15:51

Dials where did you get your nice leisure wear from? Thank you.

ladybranstonpickle · 04/02/2021 15:55

Will keep my daily yoga habit for sure.

I started bullet journaling, which has been fun.

Already did meal planning and we cook a lot of meals at home anyway.

Developed a laundry routine (sheets Thursdays, baby stuff Fridays, etc.).

Other than that...just desperate for things to go back to how they were!

picklemewalnuts · 04/02/2021 15:55

Daily Tai Chi classes, if the teacher keeps them up. Built into my routine.

Hopefully, slimming world weight loss.

picklemewalnuts · 04/02/2021 15:56

Oh, and Saturday morning brunches. We used to go to Wetherspoons quite often. Now we have a big family brunch at home.

Turnedouttoes · 04/02/2021 15:57

Wfh as much as possible
Shopping delivered rather than traipsing round Tesco every Saturday. I’ve also cut our bill from £100 a week down to around £40-50 just through planning each meal and not throwing junk mindlessly into the trolley Blush
Not wasting money on unnecessary drinks out or random cinema trips because we can’t think of anything else to do

Newgirls · 04/02/2021 15:59

Zooming friends who live too far away to meet up with.
