Keep seeing a boy

Hi all

Have been reluctant to post here because I am not sure if I am away with the fairies or if this is real.

Every night, some times every other night I see a boy in my room. Just over my side table. He stares at me, I stare at him. I feel peaceful. He then just disappears? Like just whirls gently and goes. I hope this makes sense.

I do not know him. I do not recognise him. He does not scare me.
Do you think I am dreaming or could this be real?
He came last night. I woke up, checked my phone 3.07am, lay down, closed my eyes, opened them and there he was. He looked a while, smiled and went.

So confused. Any experience in this?

Is it your son?

user1473878824 · 22/01/2021 21:40

Mmhmm.

Nickysofttouch · 22/01/2021 21:41

No.

I do not recognise him.

What age is he? What is he dressed like? As in modern, Victorian etc?

Love2cycle · 22/01/2021 21:43

No but I'm scared to go to bed now.

abitconfusedd · 22/01/2021 21:44

This is really interesting.. I had a similar experience when I was MUCH younger than now, I remember going into the kitchen to get a glass of water, looked out of the window and saw a man standing at the bottom of my driveway staring back at me.. It was 4.45am and I had absolutely no idea who he was. Didn't feel scared of confused, just kind of accepted it and went back off to bed. It was only when I thought about it in the morning that it freaked me out!

Nickysofttouch · 22/01/2021 21:45

I have a 6 year old and a 3 year old. I would say he is somewhere in the middle.

I only ever see part of top half over my table top. He just wears a standard vest.

I know this sounds daft but I am not scared and sometimes look for him

Nickysofttouch · 22/01/2021 21:47

I must be dreaming because when I look for him I cannot find him.

So confused

@Nickysofttouch has your home got any history that you know of?

LadyTiredWinterBottom2 · 22/01/2021 21:49

How long has it been happening?

Are you sure it's not a dream?

Nickysofttouch · 22/01/2021 21:49

@abitconfusedd

All very strange.

It has happened a lot to me since christmas. I had convinced myself a repetitive dream but now I am not so sure.

There is no fear or harm at hand but I would like to understand better

Nickysofttouch · 22/01/2021 21:51

It maybe is a dream. That is why I ask if anyone has ever had this happen.

It is the oddest thing. I find it hard to explain. My partner is prone to locked in dreams. Always a boy. Always at the bed. Never affected me. Thought he was just stressed etc

Isn’t 3am the witching hour 😱

Extremecreme · 22/01/2021 21:52

I’ve had this happen to me but only once.

I walked into my lounge from the kitchen and sat down. Suddenly in my peripheral vision stood a boy, late teens, looking out above my head, to at me. He was wearing a green blue top. I saw so much detail, he had a head of beautiful blond curls, like a toddler.

I jumped and shouted ‘what the hell was that’ and he was gone.

I wasn’t scared either, just confused more than anything.

It happened 25 years ago, I’ve never forgotten it. Or him.

CrotchBurn · 22/01/2021 21:55

Call the police. He sounds unhinged and could be dangerous

justanotherneighinparadise · 22/01/2021 21:56

Try and think about what your sub conscious could be bringing forward as I can guarantee it won’t be woo. It will be a state of sleep between sleep and wake. I had similar last night. I felt someone or something sit on my bed. I can still remember how realistic the whole thing was. So much so I awoke suddenly assuming one of my kids had come in but I knew it was my imagination.

This stuff comes due to anxiety. I was okay after the birth of my first child but had lots of miscarriages inbetween and was an anxious wreck after my last child’s birth. Then another nasty pregnancy loss took my sanity with it. So now I put on a good gave face but underneath my nerves jangle and when I sleep all sorts of crazy stuff happens. Hence why I now put it off and wake early.

Nickysofttouch · 22/01/2021 21:57

Oh thanks for the witching hour heads up Shock but I am not scared of him. Or her??? Could just have short hair?

This has happened me so frequently from around christmas that I am not sure what is real and what is not at this point.

I remember out encounters. Always the same. Quick stare. He or she smiles. Goes. I look about the room and think wtf......

My dad used to have a recurring experience of a man sitting at the end of his bed. He would wake after going to sleep and there he would be. He said it happened every other night or so and that he never felt scared. It just gradually stopped happening after a while.

Nickysofttouch · 22/01/2021 21:58

Could be anxiety to be fair... but it just seems so real.

Is be your son?

😂😂😂

MakeWorkYourNewFavourite · 22/01/2021 21:59

When I was little, I had to stay with my grandmother during the summer holiday. She didn't really want me there. It was very tense. I didn't like to bother her. One time, I got what, looking back, must have been a terrible ear infection. TMI... but smelly, green liquid pouring out of both ears. I was in a lot of pain and didn't want to tell her. I was crying in my room and trying to twist bits of toilet paper into my ears to sort it out (for the third night running). Suddenly, this "ghost rain" came pouring down on me. It was rain... but not wet. Made out of... light. And the next morning, no pain... and clear ears. I don't know whether it really was something spooky... or a hallucination. Probably I had a fever, was delerious... and the infection just happened to clear... There's always an explanation. Maybe I was just a little weirdo kid!

Nickysofttouch · 22/01/2021 21:59

@CrotchBurn
Think I will just send him to you instead dear

Ideasplease322 · 22/01/2021 21:59

It’s a dream. Ghosts aren’t real.

Wagsandclaws · 22/01/2021 21:59

If you are half asleep it could be your mind playing tricks on you. You could also say that you'd like him to go now and not come back anymore ...

BorderlineHappy · 22/01/2021 22:00

@Nickysofttouch Have you had any losses yourself.

If you are not afraid, maybe its someone just keeping an eye on you.
