Keep seeing a boy

Hi all

Have been reluctant to post here because I am not sure if I am away with the fairies or if this is real.

Every night, some times every other night I see a boy in my room. Just over my side table. He stares at me, I stare at him. I feel peaceful. He then just disappears? Like just whirls gently and goes. I hope this makes sense.

I do not know him. I do not recognise him. He does not scare me.
Do you think I am dreaming or could this be real?
He came last night. I woke up, checked my phone 3.07am, lay down, closed my eyes, opened them and there he was. He looked a while, smiled and went.

So confused. Any experience in this?

@Ideasplease322

Absolutely agree you’vegotten.

I can understand how many years ago people made up stories to explain these things - the little ghost of a long dead relative when they didn’t understand epilepsy or visual disturbances or Carson monoxide poisoning or countless other disorders.

I am amazed with all the knowledge we have at our fingertips, people still go ghost rather than medical.

Awful isn't it? I feel so terrible for people who had epilepsy decades ago and exorcisms were performed on them, it was a horrific and relatively commonplace thing.

When mine (adult onset at 30 after head trauma) started and I didn't have the right meds, I was having them multiple times daily along with confusion, speech issues, memory loss, rage... all of that could have resulted in being sent to a facility or having an exorcism performed (which used to make the person have more and more fits due to stress) decades ago.

I'm not saying this stuff directly about OP just in general.

Anyone who thinks there is a possibility they are regularly hallucinating should get checked out by their GP, just in case there is an underlying cause.

It's insulting people take it as an insult when that is suggested.

Yes and it’s now thought the Salem witch trials followed an outbreak of ergot, a fungal blight affecting rye which can cause hallucinations when the rye is used in bread.

Carbon monoxide poisoning or mould isn't likely to only affect someone for a few minutes a night.

Probably not, but far more likely to be hypnopompic hallucinations than anything to do with mental illness, carbon monoxide or mould.

Ideasplease322 · 24/01/2021 18:33

Daffy. Sorry I thought you were jumping on the it’s a ghost line of thought.

I just want to make the point hat is someone is seeing people who aren’t real, they need to chat to their gp.

The lady who Is seeing a boy, and believed this boy was playing with Her children, need to talk to someone about that.

It’s not insulting to say that. It’s common sense. I have experienced hallucinations. They are incredibly real. Luckily, even as a child, I knew it wasn’t real. But I grew up in a house with no superstitions. Science could explain everything. And I also remember learning as a child about why many years ago people tried to rationalise things they didn’t understand with superstitions and magic.

Ive always suffered from hypnopompic hallucinations on and off and have always known they are dreams/coming out of sleep but it terrifies me everytime! It usually happens when im hot and bothered, stressed or going through changes (recently I've quit smoking) and I think with lockdown and COVID its made it abit more frequent. Sad

For me it can either be "huge black figures" or "giant spiders" on the very odd occasion voices or feeling like someone has touched me to wake me up. Each and everytime though once I have fully woken up I am aware its all a dream state!

And as PP mentioned its always on the left to me! Shock

What would the difference be if I was not a parent??
I still parent. I am still a person. This is a slight sight of my life when everyone is ASLEEP!!!!!![/quote]
Hi. I mentioned you being a parent because your responsibilities towards your children extend to taking care of your own self, and if you are seeing and feeling things that aren't there, perhaps it is worthwhile to be checked out.

@CrotchBurn

Call the police. He sounds unhinged and could be dangerous
Hmm

Are you sure you're not dreaming.
