Be honest... do you think being a size 10 is more attractive than a size 14?

Just that... no offence intended it's just to settle an argument I'm interested in people's views. Let's say specifically you have an average / reasonably attractive looking woman of average height, do you think she will look better as a size 10 than she does a 14?

I have been both sizes. Currently size 10 and feel I look much better this size, although it totally depends, I know of other women who have gained some weight and gone up a couple of sizes who look more attractive bigger.

stevalnamechanger · 13/01/2021 20:22

Depends on the individual . Some people look unwell with less body fat, some look amazing .

Also TOTALLY depends how and where people carry fat

Onedropbeat · 13/01/2021 20:23

I saw a photo of me (size 14) next to a group of friends who are size 10 and I think I look the worse by far Sad

BookShop · 13/01/2021 20:23

Yes.

Seeingadistance · 13/01/2021 20:24

I’m currently a size 14, and I look and feel better at size 10.

camelfinger · 13/01/2021 20:24

Sure.

Gigia · 13/01/2021 20:24

I've been a 6 and a 16 and everywhere in between. For me personally I look best at a size 6-8, generally speaking I would say most people look better at a 10 than a 14.

OppsUpsSide · 13/01/2021 20:24

Sometimes, but not always.

BlairCorneliaWaldorf · 13/01/2021 20:24

Yes. By a country mile.

user1487194234 · 13/01/2021 20:25

Absolutely

Martinisarebetterdirty · 13/01/2021 20:25

I look much better thinner. I don’t carry weight well on my face. Other people look gaunt if they are thinner though, it all depends on bone structure.

Lifeisabeach09 · 13/01/2021 20:25

I know I do-look better as a 10, that is.
With other people it depends on their height, frame, etc..

kowari · 13/01/2021 20:25

Definitely a 10. I'm 5ft 5 and I was a size 10 when I had a BMI of 24, so I would be very overweight at a 14.

namechange202086 · 13/01/2021 20:25

Yes

SendHelp30 · 13/01/2021 20:26

Absolutely

schmockdown · 13/01/2021 20:26

Clothed yes. Naked / bikini not necessarily.

I've been an unfit 'skinny fat' up to a very fit, muscly 16.

I looked best at a very toned 12, lean and strong.

cakeandeatit · 13/01/2021 20:26

Average height or taller would look sexier as a size 14 which in my eyes is more attractive. Surely the answer will depend on who you're asking though as there's no one correct answer 🤷🏽

HasaDigaEebowai · 13/01/2021 20:26

Yes

RememberSelfCompassion · 13/01/2021 20:26

Depends. If that person is hungry and grumpy at 10and not looking after themselves, but comfortable and happy and healthy at 14 then they will look more attractive when they are healthy and happy. It could be the other way round but I don't think weight is ever the issue in isolation.

We do need to challenge these beliefs in our head.

Ultimatecougar · 13/01/2021 20:26

Yes, unless she is very tall

Onedropbeat · 13/01/2021 20:27

That’s true, my DH would say he’d prefer a 14 over a 10

Northernsoullover · 13/01/2021 20:27

I've gone from a 10 to a 14 in the last year due to lockdown inactivity and stuffing my greedy face. I did look better as a 10. I'll do something about it in the spring.

Chel098 · 13/01/2021 20:28

If your only short like me 5ft 3. Yes I would say a size 14 is hard to pull off.

hauntedvagina · 13/01/2021 20:28

Absolutely.

But a life with biscuits is more attractive than a life with no biscuits so I'll stick at a 14 and enjoy my shortbreads thanks.

Poppins2016 · 13/01/2021 20:28

I look better at size 8 (which used to be a 10 about 5 years ago, thanks to vanity sizing)! I've been size 10-12 and didn't look or feel healthy.
