Be honest... do you think being a size 10 is more attractive than a size 14?

Just that... no offence intended it's just to settle an argument I'm interested in people's views. Let's say specifically you have an average / reasonably attractive looking woman of average height, do you think she will look better as a size 10 than she does a 14?

Yes, definitely.

ColumboOnTheCase · 13/01/2021 20:37

Yes

OwlWearingGlasses · 13/01/2021 20:37

But I am tall.

BalladOfBarryAndFreda · 13/01/2021 20:38

On me it is.

Teaplease29 · 13/01/2021 20:39

10 looks better in my opinion. As a close to 14 (12 was getting tight), I had a double chin, flabby upper arms, way too much wobble around my tummy.
As a 10 I feel amazing... face looks much better, definition in my jawline, and I get lots of compliments.
There is over 2 stone between the 2 sizes for me.

summerstorms · 13/01/2021 20:39

At 14 I'm a beautiful classic hourglass. I would be unhealthy at size 10. and I feel uncomfortable at size 16 (or 18 as I am now)

WhateverTheySay · 13/01/2021 20:39

I'm referring to a 5"3 pear shape

Yes slimmer is always more attractive through my eyes.

DishedUp · 13/01/2021 20:40

I think someone's who's attractive is attractive irrespective of size tbh. But as a general rule yes, I look better as a size 10 (actually a size 8 but its been a while Grin)

However realistically on my big list of what is actually going to improve my life, or make me happy looking a bit better is pretty low. I am a size 10 and but if I were to list the things I liked about myself, my friends or my partners weight wouldn't be on it. And I assume they think the same

randomer · 13/01/2021 20:40

You might be the seemingly desirable size 10 but be ill. I think health and being a decent human being matter more.

ResignYourself · 13/01/2021 20:40

Yes, sure.

Msfoxy17 · 13/01/2021 20:41

Yes

HappyTimeTunnelDinosaur · 13/01/2021 20:41

No, 10 looks too thin, I think 12 looks better actually.

NancyDrawed · 13/01/2021 20:41

I definitely prefer the way I look at a size 10 compared to a size 14. But not enough to do anything about it. I am in my 50s. I must have a distorted body image because I don't see an overweight person when I look in the mirror, but show me a photo and I look terrible!

It only really bothers me when I can't find anything to wear that looks nice to go out in (obviously not an issue at the moment)

So personally, I do think a size 10 person looks more attractive than a size 14 person. But beauty is, of course, int he eye of the beholder and my 'more attractive' might be another's 'skinny and gaunt'

Graffitiqueen · 13/01/2021 20:42

yes. I'm a 14 and look better as a 10.

Furtwangler · 13/01/2021 20:42

Bloke's view: 14, every time. I really don't like thinness, it looks unhealthy to me. In men as well as women.

BlueSussex · 13/01/2021 20:42

I know I do.

At 5’3” though?

trixiebelden77 · 13/01/2021 20:43

People must be very very tall indeed to look ‘gaunt’ if the average size they fit into is a 10.

villamariavintrapp · 13/01/2021 20:43

Yes

chocolatepowder · 13/01/2021 20:43

Yes of course. I'm currently straining at the seams of my size 14 jeans. I deffo look and feel more attractive at a size 10. And I'm tallish at 5ft 8.

Hmmmm, At a size 10 I would not be thin. My BMI would be about 23, so in the upper end of "normal"
Msfoxy17 · 13/01/2021 20:43

Just to add.. Ive gone from being a 10 (sometimes 8 on top half) to a 12 and it's a really noticeable difference. Have a bit of a double chin and slight muffin top. Working it now through better diet lots if yoga but it will take a while..

MrsFluffyMuff · 13/01/2021 20:43

Size 10, 100%
