I would say for me soda , can't buy the cheap versions of coke.

Thats not being a snob, its having taste buds.

I only like fever tree tonic, wont drink gin with anything else. I prefer expensive spiced gins to Gordon's because, to me, it tastes nicer. Nothing to do with snobbery.

I would be equally happy with bayliss and harding or molten brown.

White wine - cheaper the better
Red wine - expensive

Coffee - ok im a coffee snob

Mollypolly2610 · 26/12/2020 01:54

Can’t use any other granules than Bisto. Supermarket ones are awful.

Knorr stock cubes

Squeejit · 26/12/2020 01:56

Baked beans. It’s Branston’s or bust for me.

Catsup · 26/12/2020 01:58

Heinz tomato ketchup, if its an own brand version I'd rather just pass on it.

QueenPawPaws · 26/12/2020 02:00

Gin
Tonic
Candles
Perfume

I wouldn't say snob as they don't have to be expensive but they have to be good. If that makes sense?! So I have candles that are incredible and not expensive but I stick to them as I know they're value for money

LaurieFairyCake · 26/12/2020 02:01

Gin

And even snobbier than LEM Grin - I drink almost exclusively Italian gins as they're triple filtered and completely smooth - no harsh taste at all

Catsup · 26/12/2020 02:10

@QueenPawPaws Which candles if you don't mind me asking? I love a good candle but don't like the price tag on the high end ones so much 😅

Seafog · 26/12/2020 02:13

Butter only
Good coffee
Don't cheap out on wine
Quality natural fibres

LightDrizzle · 26/12/2020 02:22
  • coffee, I haven’t drink instant in over 30 years.
  • scented candles, I don’t like Yankee it cheap candles.
AlwaysLatte · 26/12/2020 02:23

Ditto the gin - has to be Tanqueray and Fever tree.

DonLewis · 26/12/2020 02:24

Brown dettol.

AlwaysLatte · 26/12/2020 02:24

Ha yes and definitely no instant coffee. Or unfiltered tap water.

DK123 · 26/12/2020 02:28

Branded soft drinks
Heinz tomato soup
Heinz or Branston beans
Hellman's mayonnaise
Philadelphia
Lurpak
Walkers crisps
Cathedral city cheddar
Fairy liquid
Sanex shower gel

I realise there are perfectly good alternatives, but my taste buds definitely like these the most! For most other things, I buy own brand.

Jent13c · 26/12/2020 02:31

Fairy liquid

roastedpudding · 26/12/2020 02:37

Candles must be soy
Meat, on the rare occasion we eat it, must be local and organic.

BlackberrySky · 26/12/2020 02:46

I am secretly a snob about bicycle brands and supermarkets

RedSquirrelMoonlight · 26/12/2020 05:51

Bacon snob

ParadiseLaundry · 26/12/2020 06:01

Must have Egyptian cotton sheets. I have
no idea how anyone sleeps on polyester or poly cotton blends.

Baked beans are better the cheaper they are an I'm quite partial to a Christmas Yankee Candle!

Matildatoldsuchdreadfullies · 26/12/2020 06:21

Holidays to places like the Seychelles, the Maldives or Barbados. Okay, the super-rich and very posh go. But apart from that I don’t think they’re any different from a package to Turkey or Tenerife.

If I was spending that much on a holiday, I’d go somewhere interesting. And yes, I know interesting is subjective.

Mind you, because I’m a hypocrite as well as a snob, if somebody tells me they’re off to the Seychelles, I gush about how jealous I am.

lifestooshort123 · 26/12/2020 06:30

Supermarkets - Waitrose and M&S all the way.

awesmum · 26/12/2020 06:31

Perfume
Fairy washing liquid
Bread
Helmans Mayo

Wincarnis · 26/12/2020 06:50

Wrapping paper
Toilet paper
Air freshener

sweetchristmastime · 26/12/2020 06:55

Digestive biscuits. Mcvities or go home

Mummyoflittledragon · 26/12/2020 07:01

Bit of a weird one maybe? Bit obsessed with having natural stone tiles. Got them in all the bathrooms and floors, patio etc.

groovergirl · 26/12/2020 07:02

Chocolate snob. Must have Green & Black 70-85% or something from Haigh's, our local chocolatier. Never sickly sweet Cadbury or greasy, tasteless Lindt!
