SmallChrismas · 26/12/2020 11:37

Hotels, I only stay in 5 star ones.

ssd · 26/12/2020 11:37

I like brands

Scotstar · 26/12/2020 11:38

Not a fan of buffet restaurants. I like to be served my food.

Ginfordinner · 26/12/2020 11:39

I have hundreds of books on my kindle. Judging people for preferring to read their kindle? hmmmmm Hmm

Ridiculousradish · 26/12/2020 11:40

Got to have cotton bedding
Decent coffee (I drink it short, black and strong, so it's got to be good)

DillonPanthersTexas · 26/12/2020 11:41

Football shirts
Caravan parks
Iceland

MrsMarrio · 26/12/2020 11:44

Andrex toilet paper can't use anything else 😂😂

GintyMcGinty · 26/12/2020 11:44

PJ or onesie wearing in public eg in the supermarket 🙄

SeasonallySnowyPeasant · 26/12/2020 11:44

Bedding. Now-DH was bemused when I replaced his poly-cotton bedding with proper HTC cotton the week after I first slept in his bed. It was all bobbly and just awful!

Echobelly · 26/12/2020 11:45

Babies/toddlers with pierced ears
Weirdly spelt versions of ordinary names
'Life, laugh, love' style home decor
Baby showers
Any kind of ultra showy marriage proposals or, even worse 'promposals'
In fact in general any Insta-fuelled show-off phenomenon like newborn shots with made up mum and matching personalised bedclothes/outfits and the like
Massive gender stereotyping for babies

Yeah, I'm a miserable cow! Grin

Bettyboobs22 · 26/12/2020 11:45

Mayonnaise- Hellman’s
Ketchup- Heinz
Jam- Tiptree
Tea bags- Twinings or Yorkshire
Chocolate- hate cheap chocolate
Eggs- free range and organic
Meat- from local butcher
We also get our milk from the milk man but I’m not snobby to not drink milk not delivered by him.

Christmas cards - prefer charity ones
Christmas trees- must be real

People eat on their laps and not at the table

I probably have more but these are a few

carlaCox · 26/12/2020 11:46

I think people who are "coffee snobs" but drink coffee with milk in it are silly. Milk in coffee is gross and it masks the flavour of it anyway. I think this makes me an uber coffee snob. Come at me!

Dazedandconfused28 · 26/12/2020 11:47

Sandwiches! Will not entertain the idea of a Tesco sandwich.

M&S on the other hand....

DillonPanthersTexas · 26/12/2020 11:47

Fussy eaters
Men who take their shirts off in public
Loud music while driving
Naff car modifications
Daily Express readers

Tenyearsgone · 26/12/2020 11:47

This is just another cunty unpopular opinions thread.

Morgan12 · 26/12/2020 11:53

HP brown sauce. All others taste like vinegar.

Tinned tomatoes. The cheap supermarket ones do not taste as good as the names brands.

Trainers. I like to wear named trainers and have the kids in named ones too. Not bothered at all about any other shoes.

Fizbosshoes · 26/12/2020 11:53

What does that mean (or do you infer) about a person or household, though ? Neither myself or my DH read very regularly (I usually get a book from a charity shop to take on holiday) The only books you would see in our house are school books, or cookery books.
I guess we are probably more uneducated than the average MN. DH has about 3 o levels and I have good GCSEs and am educated to A level standard ....but how does that change peoples perception of us? We have good manners, wouldnt let our DC disturb others in restaurants, or elsewhere (other people often comment how polite they are) and wouldnt go out in night wear, if that helps!Grin

DillonPanthersTexas · 26/12/2020 11:55

Yeah, I'm a miserable cow

You could be me!

Phonetically spelt Gaelic names.

Double barrelled first names of the 'molly Mai/may/mae variety that love Island twats seem to opt for.

People who vote by text on TV shows

Brits abroad who make zero attempt to speak the local language

DreadingSeason2020sFinale · 26/12/2020 11:55

@Mollypolly2610

Can’t use any other granules than Bisto. Supermarket ones are awful.

Knorr stock cubes

Agreed

It really is and some of it is just about having money rather than anything else. Obviously if you're wealthy you're not going to go to a three star hotel when you could go to a five star one. Or buy polyester sheets when you could buy Egyptian cotton.
BuzzingTheBee · 26/12/2020 11:57

Holidays... must be 4 or 5 stars
Camping ... just why?

BuzzingTheBee · 26/12/2020 11:58

Cheap footwear
Nice bedding
Quality tablewear

Tenyearsgone · 26/12/2020 11:59

It's mostly a thread for people to brag about how they can afford 'better' stuff than others.

Gosh I can't imagine why someone might go camping rather than go to a five star hotel? Hmmmm. Must rack my brains.

I also don't know why some people live in council flats rather than beautiful country manor houses?!
