I love this, and why I adore my grandmother in law. She does this, and I suspect it's because she's not at all insecure so has no need to look down at others.

I find that people who post this sort of comment are doing so because someone has referred to something they think is tasteful and lambasted it. To put it another way, it’s touched a chord. Quite funny.

Cunts. I prefer them to be locally sourced and organic . Not the ones I've found on this thread for instance, they're all sorts of wrong.

Food, well most food I still like some cheap crap

Tinned tomatoes cheap ones are watery and rubbish

Plastic toys for kids although we have some we always try to buy a wooden ones

Hotels which have horrible bathrooms with a cheap shower curtain. Doesn't have to be a fancy hotel just not the horrible thin white plastic shower curtains.

I think most people would prefer to buy expensive if they could afford - that's not snobbish, that's just because more expensive things are often (but not always) better quality. So yes, I prefer real coffee, diptique candles, high thread count sheets and cashmere.

I'm snobbish about cooking from scratch versus ready meals or junk, baking cakes rather than buying them, and man made fibres. And good manners. Anything else is fine.

Butter. had a to be real butter. I am a snob about margarine.

The classical brit awards. I don't mind some crossover music but that seems to be all the classical brits are . Where is the real classical music? Katherine Jenkins is not an opera singer!
