I can't be the only one who does this? I also change my cushions and sometimes my curtains Blush

What winter decor do you have, if the curtains and cushions are an optional extra? Sorry but I’ve never heard of anyone doing this.

RosesandPumpkins · 20/10/2020 17:19

Yes I used to do this to an extent. But it was more that I’d put things away to make room for Christmas decorations. And I’d get out the cosy blankets and candle holders that I wouldn’t keep out all year round as they weren’t needed.

BoulangerieBabs · 20/10/2020 17:20

It's not something I've ever done.

FelicityPike · 20/10/2020 17:20

I put my Winter curtains up last week and helped my mum do hers today 👍🏻

Cocolapew · 20/10/2020 17:20

I take down my flowery light coloured stuff and up up darker colours and garlands with pinecones and berries
And lots of fairy lights.
I like lots of stuff, I'm not minimalist in anyway shape or form Grin

Wtf! Never heard of this...sounds like an awful lot of effort

Cocolapew · 20/10/2020 17:23

DD is insisting it's Christmas decorations but she's wrong.

I have never heard of this, apart from the inevitable Halloween and Christmas decorating.

Lovely I'm going to do this now 🍁🍁🍂🕯️🕯️🕯️

jakor · 20/10/2020 17:26

What are winter curtains?

Marisishidinginmyattic · 20/10/2020 17:26

Oooh all cosy for winter! I want fairy lights now!

iloveautumn3 · 20/10/2020 17:29

Cocolapew · 20/10/2020 17:29

Winter curtains are just heavier and maybe not as flowery. I get a shocking draught from my front door and my living room window usually have ones that I don't pull in milder weather.

I'm interested in your mirrors and the random clock! Grin Anyway, your garland looks nice, and why not?

TheVanguardSix · 20/10/2020 17:31

Frosted pinecones??? DD's right! Dial it back! We haven't even hit Halloween! You've skipped autumnal tones on gone headlong into bleak mid-winter. You're living dangerously. Grin

Cocolapew · 20/10/2020 17:32

DH can't cope without that bloody clock.

jakor · 20/10/2020 17:32

Ok but curtains are so expensive, I couldn't afford 2 lots. Do you do it for every room?

TheVanguardSix · 20/10/2020 17:32

AHHH! And gone headlong. AND not on!! So annoying, typos.

Dontforgetyourbrolly · 20/10/2020 17:32

I put a heavier fluffier throw on the sofa and warmer stuff on the beds, flanellette sheets so cosy

Cocolapew · 20/10/2020 17:32

The photo is a little Christmassy. I do have xmas cushions, lights & room decorations I put up in Dec.

formerbabe · 20/10/2020 17:33

Decorations are stressful to me because I think a house needs to look immaculately clean and tidy otherwise decorations look shit and messy. So to me it just signifies more work

Cocolapew · 20/10/2020 17:34

No just the living room. My curtains aren't expensive.
