What did you like until it 'got a bit rubbish?'

I loved watching Sherlock but then the last few series I found beyond awful and ridiculous! Gone was (imo) the clever writing and semi-believable show.

Also found shopaholic series got overly rubbish towards the end. Same with the I heart book series. Saying that, I know they're not award-winning literature to start with.

Forget changing your likes and dislikes. What series of books/films/tv shows/music did you like until.. it changed?

Big Brothers first couple of seasons were great, but then it turned into who will shag who.

The trouble is, most programs become 'tired' after a while and I just don't tune in anymore.

Yeah we didn't watch the last 3 seasons of modern family.

Completely agree. I loved that show when it first started. They just let it drag on waaaaaay too long. The English accent was truly awful! I saw an interview where the actress was talking of getting a coach in and practicing for months and was really proud of it 🤣

Orange is the new black.

The first few series were good then it just got odder and odder as they tried to prolong something that originally had great ratings. Same with Orphan Black, if anyon has watched that. I can see the Handmaid's Tale and Thirteen Reasons Why going to same way, if the last series is/was anything to go by...

Glee, Gossip Girl, Pretty Little Liars, The Office US (after Michael left)

Any teen show where they all go to High school and it's great. Then they graduate go their separate ways/ college. And it goes down hill. Great shows but they hit season 4 and suddenly it awful

I used to love Bananarama, until I saw them at a rewind concert - over an hour late on stage, totally unapologetic and mocking of some of their hits. Rick Astley on the other hand, stayed on stage until they came on, I love him now. He can do no wrong.
It was a similar thing at a concert last year. It was a family concert, kids went free, Carol Decker's language was atrocious at noontime. There really are parents and grandparents who DON'T swear in front of the children love.

Go West were fabulous and really went up in my estimation.

I gave up on Dr Foster 2nd series- the story line was overstretched and I stopped caring what happened to the characters

I totally disagree with TBBT going downhill. Definitely not. We are currently just starting Series 12 having spent the last few months watching it through from Series one again. It just evolved, naturally.

So many here that I agree with.

Can I add Parks and Rec It was so fresh and funny the first few seasons, dipped a bit, then stabilised. But the last season was so bad that it ruined the feel of the whole show for me. I now pretend that it stops at the point where Leslie is head of National Parks, and she and Ben get into the lift.

"No. But when have we ever been?".

Preacher. Think I’ve still got the last few episodes to watch. I just did not care what happened to them when the actor/producers had obviously taken over and it became indulgent nonsense.

Disney+. Thanks to my OH who bought Disney+ to keep his boys and my daughter occupied during quarantine I've watched nearly every Disney show and film there is

Yoyoallovertheshow I agree the evolution of Chuck was amazing. It was just the rest of it and it got a bit too bonkers and crazy

Chocolate. So much of it tastes weird and plasticky now.

Also Ribena (and so many other drinks). I don't drink sugary drinks often, but when I do then I want them sweetened with actual sugar and not with artificial sweeteners which taste shit and give you cancer.

I think I'm turning into an old fart who wants the Good Old Days back...
