In my case - a pet urn. A full one.

Our next door neighbours found a jar with £5k in it

ny20005 · 30/05/2020 17:43

A pack of condoms in the kitchen cupboard

copycopypaste · 30/05/2020 17:44

A dressmakers mannequin in the attic, all scraggy and in a right mess, a man's one.

iften · 30/05/2020 17:46

Plastic door handle on the mantlepiece, they'd taken the brass one with them.

newroundhere · 30/05/2020 17:47

A personalised bowling ball

SlipperyLizard · 30/05/2020 17:47

Dead lizards in the garage

viques · 30/05/2020 17:49

A typewritten prayer to protect the house against hurricanes (to be read aloud every year) .Framed and on the wall now. I try to remember to read it , seems to be working so far (why isn't there a fingers crossed emoji when you need it)

A piano, though to be fair they collected it later.

A gold crown, tooth not head, which I knelt on when we were pulling up one of the many the vile carpets. Bloody hurt too.

Liddell · 30/05/2020 17:50

Former owner's urn in the wardrobe (empty).

PawPatrolMakesMeDrink · 30/05/2020 17:51

This Virgin Mary key holder. If you move her slightly she changes position.

Harris tweed jacket in a very loud check, only discovered after we lived there for some twenty years, when we redid the en-suite.

Stuffed behind the boxed in pipe work.

Oh, and a Masonic reference text on top of the kitchen cupboards.

Spied · 30/05/2020 17:51

Unopened Christmas cards in the loft.( Hi Mark and Louise! Is that you?Grin)
One slipper that was so large it must have belonged to a giant (DP is an 11 and it was double the size of his foot.)

Prettybubblesintheair · 30/05/2020 17:52

A plastic fish hanging from the rack in the wardrobe.

LynnThese4reSEXPEOPLE · 30/05/2020 17:52

@SlipperyLizard did that inspire the user name?

@PawPatrolMakesMeDrink that's beautiful!

We have a hockey stick in the garage. Our old neighbours found a pearl necklace, but the previous owner said it wasn't theirs either.

Bumfuzzled · 30/05/2020 17:55

My friend bought a house from a couple getting divorced. There were ugly naked photos of the woman pasted into cupboards, stuffed into floorboards and even in the loo cistern. I’m guessing it wasn’t an amicable break up Shock

mrsmummy111 · 30/05/2020 17:56

A dead cat under the floorboards

Magpiecomplex · 30/05/2020 17:57

Inflatable sex doll... Deflated, fortunately!

RubyJack · 30/05/2020 17:58

A wreath spelling out DAD in the shed.

Prettyprettyplease · 30/05/2020 17:59

The previous owner's epilepsy medication. He did come round to collect it the same day, but unfortunately for him we were moving out of rented accommodation and hadn't actually gone into our the property on the day we completed (we were young and in new jobs and I think we didn't want to use up our annual leave). We did of course return it as soon as we realised what had happened.

EloiseTheFirst · 30/05/2020 18:00

A buzzard and a pregnant cat.

LynnThese4reSEXPEOPLE · 30/05/2020 18:04

@EloiseTheFirst.... Both alive?

An iron bedstead in the loft. It didn't go through the loft hatch though do god knows how they got it up there!

BissueTox · 30/05/2020 18:11

64 cans of dog food. They did have dogs so no idea why they left them! We kept them for a week or so, dropped a note through their door (they moved up the road 10 minutes) and they never turned up for them so we gave them to the food bank.

Imonlymoominafterall · 30/05/2020 18:13

A porn magazine in which someone had stuck photos of Princess Di's face over every single woman's face throughout.
