In my case - a pet urn. A full one.

@amusedbush I'm disappointed there was only one envelope - there's such potential for a series.

A broken down, crash-damaged care was left on the driveway.

This is really outing for anyone who knows me but my DF left my toe in a house...

Piggywaspushed · 31/05/2020 17:07

If anyone has my toe, I would like it back.

Costacoffeeplease · 31/05/2020 17:20

A dog

A rowing machine, a skiing machine and a pool table - they wouldn't come to collect them saying they were there when they moved in so we sold them on ebay collection only!! They were all in the cellar and getting pool table out was very difficult. Sometimes wish we'd kept it but we did need the cellar!

When I was at uni my housemate found a pair of knickers with a dirty sanitary towel still in it. Envy not envy!

Glitterb · 31/05/2020 17:25

Numerous size 24 satin thongs down the back of the radiators. I always check behind radiators now when I move!

My Dad found a shoebox full of homemade porno Polaroids of the previous owners in the loft. A week later the previous owner popped round to ask if he could get something out the loft he had left 🙄

A temporary grave marker in the sign of the Cross, with the deceased's details on.

Together with 100 or so rubber ducks that (I found out later) were used in a duck race in the stream at the back to raise funds for the scouts.

Was kind of funny. The ducks got back to the scouts, the cross didn't. May the guy rest in peace anyway.

Dubbadubbadumdum · 31/05/2020 17:38

A scan of the previous owners brain tumour...

mintandcoral · 31/05/2020 22:43

4 boxes of bibles

LadyFeliciaMontague · 31/05/2020 22:50

Last house.
A sideboard in the, unfloored, loft. It must have been built up there as it wouldn’t go through the hatch.
A barrel full of dirty oil in the garage inspection pit.

This house
A shed full of broken toys
a wheelie bin full to the brim of junk.
an oven thick with grease
the kitchen junk drawer was still full of junk
And the whole house was filthy dirty.

Mr & Mrs T you should be ashamed Angry

Dozens of glass jars and bottles plus multiple packets of old medical tablets and old shoes all buried in the garden of our old cortijo in Spain. I'm not joking, there was so much crap we had to hire a skip to get rid of the rubbish.

CaughtInAnnette · 31/05/2020 23:39

A safe.

theneighbourswindchime · 31/05/2020 23:46

I found an old china doll in the back of a cupboard. Someone had dribbled fake blood over it.

I nearly had a heart attack.

Wait, what?!? Shock
Shoxfordian · 01/06/2020 14:50

We found knickers in the washing machine

Piggywaspushed · 01/06/2020 14:50

Yup, a real toe. Pickled.

Lonelycrab · 01/06/2020 15:18

A fucking goat skull, complete with horns, placed in the oven. It was staring right at me when I opened it. Probably meant to be some kind of joke (apparently the family before were a bunch of stoner weirdo hippies)

Never really saw the funny side tbh but I suppose it’s more original than your usual bottle of bubbly

We bought our house after the previous owner had died. When we moved in, there were three suits laid out on the bedroom floor by the fitted wardrobes, with various ties laid across them. They must have been choosing what to bury him in. It was quite sad...

We also found all his old gardening tools and a logbook of what he'd planted and when in the shed. It's all handwritten and gets shakier as it goes on. The family said they didn't want them so we still use the tools. He obviously cared very much for the garden, and it's lovely to have his little notebook.

After two years of being in my house,i took up a carpet last week and found a cellar running the whole length of the house.
Was a great find, but sadly as it is about 5 foot tall it will remain a cellar!

That's sweet that you've carried on using them and kept the notebook.

How did you know it was fake blood though... Shock
