In my case - a pet urn. A full one.

1p and 2p coins scattered all over the floor, a set of crutches and half taken prescription meds.

FlamingoAndJohn · 30/05/2020 19:31

Some of these are amazing.

Not me but friends of my parents found 3 carrier bags stuffed with used £10 notes.
They left it a year, not saying a word and then slowly spent it.

NiceTwin · 30/05/2020 19:32

A cat, a live one.
Just left behind.

Kenworthington · 30/05/2020 19:35

@PawPatrolMakesMeDrink oh my life, I LOVE that!

newtb · 30/05/2020 19:38

Wedding dress

Livpool · 30/05/2020 19:38

There are chests in our loft - still there. My DH said they are locked - and I have never been up there!

We should probably me more interested/worried

dayswithaY · 30/05/2020 19:42

Suicide note and a confession letter both stuffed behind a shelf in a wardrobe.

LynnThese4reSEXPEOPLE · 30/05/2020 19:48

@Livpool well now you HAVE to look!

One house I moved into had everything. Sheets, clothes, stuff in the fridge. The previous owner was a teacher and there were kids' school books there. He had even left love letters from his other girlfriends, not the one he moved in with. It was really odd. We packed everything up, but he never collected it.

Ginkypig · 30/05/2020 19:59

A confession of what though dayswithaY

TooMinty · 30/05/2020 20:03

We have also had some nice things, like a Plan G bedside table with a poster of Donnie Osmond taped inside the door like it was a secret 😊

dayswithaY · 30/05/2020 20:07

It was a long rambling letter confessing to a heroin addiction and the crimes committed because of it, look at the track marks on my arms etc. It was creepy. The couple we bought the house from had just one daughter in her twenties so I assume it was her letter. They moved round the corner so I used to see them sometimes, very respectable church going family.

MidnightHangingTree · 30/05/2020 20:07

The entire family's current passports.

unsure111 · 30/05/2020 20:08

I moved into my first rented house and the conservatory was covered and I mean COVERED in dead bees. You couldn't walk around in there.
Had to hoover and keep emptying the dust part and carry on. Was strange

Livpool · 30/05/2020 20:16

@LynnThese4reSEXPEOPLE I am scared of heights so won't climb the ladder to get in the loft.

Will either have to conquer my fear or get DH to be interested in what is in them! He said there are 2 and both have padlocks on

Grumpbum123 · 30/05/2020 20:19

A suicide note from the very alive owner

fourquenelles · 30/05/2020 20:22

A WW1 leather flying helmet in the loft

Grey, dust covered girl's knickers stuffed down the back of a radiator

Cat biscuits stuck in a lake of congealed grease in the under sink cupboard (their cat had died 6 months before)

Cherrysoup · 30/05/2020 20:25

@Livpool, please open them! How can you resist?!

Echobelly · 30/05/2020 20:27

Our house was owned by an older Italian gentleman and his wife. We kept opening cupboards and finding images of Jesus and the Virgin behind doors!

chickedeee · 30/05/2020 20:35

Stockings holding up plants in the garden Grin

Natsku · 30/05/2020 20:48

A (innocent) naked photo of the previous owners child that had fallen behind a kitchen cabinet. Was very awkward handing that back!

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 30/05/2020 20:49

Apart from the hideous decor (Brighton Pavilion after grenade practice), the loft was full of chipboard, in excess of a tonne. Dead PC components, a bicycle, and some really creepy Mormon RE books. Jowly balding men with small children sitting on their knees, ewwww.

ThinkAboutItTomorrow · 30/05/2020 20:50

Ours was full of crystals and smelt weird because the previous occupant had balanced the aura burning sage.
Our kids love playing with the crystals.

PerfidiousAlbion · 30/05/2020 20:52

Framed Family portraits wrapped up in paper and left in the shed - nailed to the walls facing in.

madnessitellyou · 30/05/2020 20:55

Silk black and white polka dot knickers. The previous owner was over 80.

In this house when we ripped out an old fitted cupboard, a porn magazine from 1980. Kids were in the room at the time and dd1, who must have been about 7 at the time suddenly yelled “Look!!! Boobies!!!”.
