Absoluteunit · 03/01/2020 21:21

Jimmy Carr
The guy who used to play Gianni in Eastenders a million years ago Grin

yearinyearout · 03/01/2020 21:23

James Martin, he's a knob who thinks he's more important than he is.

ParkheadParadise · 03/01/2020 21:25

Billy Connolly met him at a charity dinner years ago.

AllTheWhoresOfMalta · 03/01/2020 21:25

A few:

Stephen Fry- Jolly nice, as you’d expect

Alan Carr- Loud, but very sweet

Eamonn Holmes- Sort of sardonically funny, I was quite a fan.

Jimmy Carr- called my housemate at the time a wanker, which was a pretty decent character assessment to be honest.

Russell T Davies- so lovely and humble, properly nice. I could see us being friends in real life, if only he was after another mate!

Greg Davies- just the tallest man on Earth, but also seemed very nice.

Tinselviolin · 03/01/2020 21:27

Once worked with Maxine Peake, she's absolutely lovely and very funny.
Have passed but not spoken to:
Roger Allam
Johnny Marr
Danny Boyle

ParkheadParadise · 03/01/2020 21:27

I've also met Rod Stewart at Celtic Park.

LeGrandBleu · 03/01/2020 21:27

MiseryChops · 03/01/2020 21:28

But due to his job my My DH has met loads.
Some off the top of my head-

James corden who he said was a prick as did the rest of his team at work.

Rupert Grint (Ron from Harry Potter) who was very shy and quiet but polite.

Warwick Davis & family all traveling around via Segways. All really lovely people.

Jason Manford- nice man, very down to earth.

Hmm can’t think who else right now

LeGrandBleu · 03/01/2020 21:29

She was extremely lovely and nice, he was absolutely horrible and arrogant.

Tinselviolin · 03/01/2020 21:29

Ooh @LeGrandBleu what's Pavarotti like?

Jo Brand - stayed in a hotel I worked on, after doing a show st the local theatre.

Keith Allen and family - stayed in a different hotel, family gathering there . Lily Allen was very rude.

Ronan and Stephen from Boyzone, stated in yet another hotel I worked in, after doing something in the town, to do with The Big Breakfast.

Stephen Fry - in a local pub, which is known for its good food. I think he's there quite often. Or was

Princess Anne - at a lecture about Equine Euthanasia.

Zara Phillips - Burghley horse trials.

EmmiJay · 03/01/2020 21:32

ChunkyButFunkeyy · 03/01/2020 21:36

Natalie Cassidy, many years ago, she was lovely

DennisSkinnersMolotov · 03/01/2020 21:36

Jarvis Cocker was lovely. Very softly spoken and polite.

Tricky came from back stage at a festival to dance with DS1 when he was a toddler. He was really sweet.

Alyic · 03/01/2020 21:38

Eddie Jordan at a hotel in London, I knew, I knew him from somewhere and thought it was our Irish office, which he thought hilarious.

Badtasteflump · 03/01/2020 21:44

I met the queen when I was a little girl. I was very young so I can't be sure if what I remember about it is real or is just a mishmash of what I've been told about it.

Crunched · 03/01/2020 21:46

Will Young - lovely
Harry Enfield - sweet
Hugh Laurie - funny
Nicki Chapman - haughty
David Jason - horrid

ForalltheSaints · 03/01/2020 21:47

A few over the years.

Two Prime Ministers last year (one former French, one Belgian).
Three Coronation Street actors.
Two Olympic Gold medallists.
Two Doctor Who.

to name but a few.

I met Neil Innes about 20 years ago- sadly died far too young this week, RIP.

Littleshortcake · 03/01/2020 21:49
