Which Famous people have you met?

I haven't ever met any famous people.

James May at an airport. Just lovely.

James Martin - friendly but full of himself
The Queen - grumpy
Prince Charles - well briefed
Sophie Wessex - a bit bossy
Jeffrey Archer - patonising
David Cameron - dismissive
Eddie Izzard - not very intelligent and needy
Rob Newman - intense
Michael Rosen - lovely (I know thats not very red carpet more Radio 4)
Lots of politicians - mostly motivated for the good good

I met the Queen at her 60th birthday event, also Prince Edward and Prince Andrew.
Bananarama in the bar at the Royal Albert hall, Ronan Keating. Lots more who were famous back in the day but whose names would mean nothing now.

Ooh Michael Rose reminded me, when I was little I also met Jacqueline Wilson (don't remember properly) and Paul Cookson (really nice, adapted his poetry workshop to the few people that turned up, although I was mortified when he jokingly told me off for pushing in a queue!)

I also met Jonathan Ross and his family at Alton Towers Hotel. He was much nicer than his public persona and his family were all great.

Also various fairly well-known conducters but probably unheard of in the normal world

Rik Mayall - turned up at my local night club. I went over to say hello as was a huge fan , and told him so. He stood up, thanked me and kissed me on the cheek.
He was lovely

I can also confirm what a pp's husband said about James corden being a prick. This was way before his late late show gig too, dread to think how much of a prick he is now!

My ex and I used to hang about before/after shows and concerts we'd been to. Not sure it would be quite so easy nowadays. It was good fun. My favourite was Debbie Harry as I love Blondie she was very down to earth and quiet.

Johnny Depp about 15 years ago, he was lovely.

Often see Shane Meadows the film director as he lives in my neck of the woods and is often at one of the local pubs. See Vicky McClure occasionally too, again she's from my local area.

Bruce Forsyth was lovely, warm and friendly.
Stephen Fry was out of it sadly.
Ellen MacArthur was rude.
DH has met/ interviewed every sportsperson going but hasn’t reported any negativity on their parts.

I met Anne Marie duff on the set of a movie where I was an extra. She is absolutely lovely- every day would chat with us (not normal star behaviour on a set!!), remembered all our names, gave advice to people about acting and stuff. She was so kind and funny and completely down to earth.
Also met Ben whishaw on a set. He was friendly and was chatting about his recent holiday with his boyfriend. Seemed like a nice guy, again a lot more down to earth Than you’d think.

Michael Palin is a doll. Lovely guy.
Met a load of dancing on Ice tour "celebs" years back. David Seaman was amongst them and what a lovely guy. Really genuine, funny and good company.
I have family in the TV and film businesses who tell interesting stories, mostly good ones TBH.
