Anyone know a non fruit eater?

My 18 year old last ate fruit when he was 2 years old. He has always eaten practically everything else- the only things I can think of that he doesn’t like are sweet potatoes, tomatoes and fresh mackerel. I find this practically incomprehensible. He just says -and always has- “I don’t like it” He drinks orange and apple juice- and fruit juice based cocktails (!). Is there anyone on here that’s the same and can explain him to me? The rest of the family eat loads. I don’t think anything happened when he was two that would have put him off.

I'm not a fruit eater either apart from tomatoes and avocado. And during one of my pregnancies when I ate grapes by the ton.
I don't care for sweet food and it feels acidic and makes me gassy. So no point bothering.

Me! I can at a push eat a couple of strawberries or some grapes, and I like fruit juices and fruity things, but I would never, ever choose fruit. I don't like the texture of it, the crunch of rawness that you get. I also really struggle with raw and lightly cooked veg, so stir fried, etc are out too.

I have IBS and most fruit seems to trigger a flare up so I don't eat much. Apples and bananas are 'safe', everything else is risky! I really miss pears and grapes though.

@ineedaholidaynow of course it's healthy. @8stone is eating nothing refined. What do you think early man ate? They certainly didn't go round scoffing low fat things, or helping themselves to the wide variety of fruits that grow in in Northern Europe. It would be meat, seeds and nuts leaves, and in summer the occasional berry.

@ineedaholidaynow of course it's healthy. @8stone is eating nothing refined. What do you think early man ate?” Well, not a ton of butter and cream for a start. And they would have eaten grains and roots and anything they could glean in terms of leaves and so on. @8stone doesn’t eat any of that.
