Percy

EggysMom · 29/09/2019 18:52

Qwerty.
The parents thought they were being "unique".
It could have been worse, he might have been called Asdfghjkl.

pallisers · 29/09/2019 18:52

I met, for the first time the other day, a genuine Shaniqwa! (not sure how you spell it) In England. Always thought that name was a myth

BeeFarseer · 29/09/2019 18:53

Another vote for Percy.

MyMushroomsInATimeSlip · 29/09/2019 18:53

Sure it's not 'Quirky', just because he is?

(Though aren't all kids?)

MyMushroomsInATimeSlip · 29/09/2019 18:54

Also it's a book publishers.

Aragog · 29/09/2019 18:55

Quercus? Is that a real name????

Scientific name for an oak tree apparently.

Mrsfrumble · 29/09/2019 18:57

I love this Grin

When DD started Reception she was adamant that her new friend’s name was Bartleby. It was of course Barnaby, but I did wonder for a few weeks...

SummerHouse · 29/09/2019 18:57

We knew a Random for a year or so. I was aware, but the DCs not, he was actually Brandon.

JeffreyJefferson · 29/09/2019 18:58

omg need to know the real name now Grin

Fookinwot · 29/09/2019 18:59

This reminds me of the child called Pancake from a past thread. The OP thought her child had their nursery pals name wrong but no, it was definitely pancake.

Qcng · 29/09/2019 18:59

Kirsty?

MyMushroomsInATimeSlip · 29/09/2019 19:02

Sadly I don't know the real name! DS is rather perplexed by it but adamant that he heard his name correctly (despite mishearing me 200 times a day). We're attending another event in a few weeks time when Kwerky Kid should be there too so will have to wait until then!

The Ds's ski teacher was called T-bone.... (French - Theobault - pronounced Teo-beau)

foreverroses · 29/09/2019 19:04

Curtis?

Drogonssmile · 29/09/2019 19:04

My nearly three year old insists his friend at nursery is called "Ham".
I've tried telling him it's Sam but he won't listen so poor little Sam gets consistently called Ham all day by my stubborn little bugger angel.

MyMushroomsInATimeSlip · 29/09/2019 19:04

I hope it's not Kirsty. Was a boy

anothernewusername1 · 29/09/2019 19:06

Is it Kurt? Oft referred to as Kurty if you're my SIL.

Also I went to school with a boy called Kirti

crosser62 · 29/09/2019 19:06

There is a real live “Flash” in my boys school.
