Do you ever look at someone and think I really want to give them a make over ? There’s a Mum I see on the school run, probably about 40

Lovely slim body, and I thjnk she could really improve her look as she wears these baggy jeans
Awful trainers and fleeces and her hair is like a bush
I think even if she wanted to dress casually, she would look so so much better with some jeans that fitted well, some nice smart trainers, she’s. It not making the most of herself, somedays she clearly works as she will wear a skirt with heals and a fleece

I wouldn’t want to be so rude or ever say anything but I just think could sill dress just as causally, bit look so much better

You’re going to get your arse handed to you on a plate, OP.

Justmuddlingalong · 29/03/2019 09:26

No. I don't judge other women by my standards.

Brakebackcyclebot · 29/03/2019 09:26

Maybe she likes herself that way, and her values and focus are different to yours?

Not much judgement in your post at all, is there?

Errr...maybe she doesn’t give a shit about that stuff?

Prettyvase · 29/03/2019 09:27

Amazed you can be so judgemental on something so utterly shallow first thing in the morning.

doodlejump1980 · 29/03/2019 09:27

Wow. Judgemental much?

Angeladelight · 29/03/2019 09:27

This is really one of those things that if you think it then you should keep it to yourself. You don’t know her circumstances.

SlightAggrandising · 29/03/2019 09:28

Wow.

geologyrocks · 29/03/2019 09:28

Yes I do Blush sometimes I look at mysister in law willing her to ask me to shape her eyebrows or help her pick clothes that suit and flatter up

Its just a day dream. We aren't going to act on them. Prob too much clueless, she's all that movies as teens Grin

I always looked my worst on the school run. Sometimes I still had my pyjamas on under that baggy track suit Wink. I was too skint to buy nice stuff back in those days too.

However, to answer your question OP... yes, there is a manager at work on top money who wears the most awful bobbly, out of shape ancient jumpers with no bra underneath. She has boobs at least as big as mine and I can only think she must be in pain rushing around, up and down stairs. I do think she'd benefit from a Bra Intervention.

killpop · 29/03/2019 09:30

No, I can't say I ever look at other women and think "wow, you're just not good enough" Hmm

DeathByMascara · 29/03/2019 09:30

I can't imagine spending enough energy to even think about this, let alone write a post online about it.

Your thought process does nothing but feed in to this toxic idea that women are for nothing more than show, and to look pretty is the only real aim in life.

MumUndone · 29/03/2019 09:30

People probably think I could look much better than I do! Don't have time, inclination or budget to make many improvements though...

FlibbertyGiblets · 29/03/2019 09:31

Ugh. "Not making the most of herself".

Itwouldtakemuchmorethanthis · 29/03/2019 09:31

She may be looking at you and thinking exactly the same.

FaFoutis · 29/03/2019 09:32

Could you ask her where she got her jeans from please. I can't find baggy jeans anywhere.

QueenieMum · 29/03/2019 09:32

For the second morning in a row I'm giving this out BiscuitBiscuitBiscuit

We'll have made real progress when we stop judging women on how they look. Would you have the same desire to make over a man dressed similarly?

Go have a read of the FWR boards and educate yourself.

Bookworm4 · 29/03/2019 09:32

I'm usually in dog walking scruffiness of a morning but I do smarten up for work. There are women who appearance isn't a priority but no bra and scruffy jumper to work; not good @nightsky

Bookworm4 · 29/03/2019 09:33

@Fafoutis
My teenager has baggy jeans, 'mom jeans' is what you look for.

JacquesHammer · 29/03/2019 09:37

It not making the most of herself

I mean how FUCKING dare she Confused

You’re not some philanthropic type OP, with a fun “I’ll be your sister let’s do a makeover to make you feel better about yourself”, you’re a judgemental busybody.

FaFoutis · 29/03/2019 09:37

Excellent. Thanks Bookworm.
(I already have a fleece and hair like a bush)

The cleverest person I know - she has 2 PhDs, one in arts, one in science - wears tatty jumpers with no bra. She is amazing.

CharDeeMacDennis · 29/03/2019 09:38

That could be me apart from the occasional skirt and heels! I love my baggy jeans, have several pairs of wideleg or skater-style, always wear trainers or flat chunky boots, and yes, occasionally on a chilly morning it's nice to snuggle into an unstylish fleece rather than a smart coat. Who gives a crap?

I wfh so usually just throw something on for the school run and then change into loungewear or pyjamas at home.

I'd bloody love someone to give me a free makeover! It would depend on how they looked/dressed though. Come on, OP, post some pics of yourself!
