Morning all!

Mark Warner is well-known on Mumsnet for providing relaxing, hassle-free family time - and plenty of sunshine.

This summer, they're opening the brand new Paleros Beach Resort on the western coast of Greece, and they're giving one lucky Mumsnetter the chance to go and see what all the fuss is about.

Thanks to everyone who entered - this competition is now closed.

If you missed out this time, Mark Warner have increased their exclusive Mumsnetter discount to 7% until Friday 22 March (simply quote Mumsnet when you book, if you didn't already know).

Plus, if you book before Friday, you can combine the 7% discount with a Mark Warner sun holiday special offer and save up to £200pp on top.

Discount reverts to 5% after Friday 22 March.

Mumsnet carries some affiliate marketing links, so if you buy something through our posts, we may get a small share of the sale (more details here).

We love swimming so would spend lots of time in the pool

Ali1cedowntherabbithole · 07/03/2019 07:39

What a beautiful resort! I’m already there, enjoying a cocktail as the sun goes down.

As a family we’re water-sports mad, so the range of activities at Paleros is perfect to have fun and learn some new skills. I’d love the chance to relax in the spa and have a treatment to boost my wellbeing.

It looks like a gorgeous location and I can see us exploring nearby on mountain bikes, enjoying the scenery and local life. In short it looks like a perfect mix of relaxation and activities all set against a stunning background.

TheWildRumpyPumpus · 07/03/2019 07:46

We would be swimming, relaxing by the pool and trying out some new sports that we’ve not tried before.

Looks a beautiful place!

It would be pool, beach and cycling for me and dd.
I'd love to take advantage of the mini club a couple of afternoons so I could do some quality lounging with a cold glass of wine and a book.
I love Greek food, so fingers crossed for keftedes and Greek yoghurt with honey and pistachios on the restaurant menu.
Dd and I took our first single parent holiday to Italy last year, a whole lot of scrimping just to get there but I was blown away by how mature she was getting on the plane and tryiñg Italian food ( she's your classic cheese sandwich 5 year old!).
It would be absolutely incredible to have another adventure with my favourite person.

gingercat02 · 07/03/2019 08:12

We would all cycle as we do a lot at home anyway.
The biggest draw for ds would be the water sports, he is a great swimmer and loves being in the pool and the sea. DH and I are advanced subadivers so we would love to get ds into that in a safe environment now he is old enough.
Half board is perfect as you can explore local restaurants in the daytime as well.

ShatnersWig · 07/03/2019 08:41

The holiday is for a family of four (two adults and two children under 18)

I'm single with no kids. If I win, can I take a similarly child free friend @HannahGMumsnet ?

justforareply · 07/03/2019 08:49

I went to the original Paleros and would love to try this new one! It looks great. We would all be sailing 😊

Antoinette · 07/03/2019 11:06

The resort took so beautiful, the grounds look immaculate! We would definitely give Scuba diving a try as we never have...It must be such a weird feeling to be able to breathe when you head is under the water! I am sure there are very interesting things to look at.
We would also try out paddle boarding and the mountain bikes.
My daughter at 14 probably thinks she is too sophisticated for the kids club...but as it goes up to 17 I am sure she would give that a go!
Evening entertainment and exploring the island also must do's! :-)

carriedaway · 07/03/2019 11:16

Looks fab. We’d definitely give kayaking a go. Wouldn’t see my husband all week he’d be loving the scuba diving!

HannahGMumsnet · 07/03/2019 11:20

Hi @ShatnersWig - we've checked with Mark Warner, and this would be fine!

I would love to take my family, looks like there is something for all the family. I would love to get out and see the country by bike, and I think my son and husband would love all the watersports. I might even be persuaded to try out the SUP!

MNSDKHheroines · 07/03/2019 14:45

Paleros looks amazing. DS would want to be on the tennis courts as he's a keen player. We'd be thrilled to try more watersports in sunshine. He learned paddleboarding in Wales & I tried scuba once in a disused quarry! He is old enough so we could learn scuba together which would be a great experience.

I really like that the half-board option gives a choice and allows for a couple of nights trying local restaurants. I think that's responsible tourism. All the exercise might mean DH & DS hit the BBQ hard.

We've not tried a Mark Warner holiday so open to being persuaded you are the best Grin.

OhHolyFcuk · 07/03/2019 14:51

It looks great! My two would be in that pool alllllll day!

coffeeagogo · 07/03/2019 15:01

I basically would end up having a solo holiday. DH and DD1 would just be in the water all the time - I suspect wake boarding and paddle boarding. DD2 loves joining clubs, she’d find a friend on the first day at the club and basically disown us for the rest of the week. We’d see her at meal times where she’d talk non-stop about all the activities she done (we’d hear the name of every person she’d met, what she did and how she did it) I would find a shady/sunny spot and read my book, swim, sail and recertify my PADI licence. It would be great!

choosingchilli · 07/03/2019 15:49

We would definitely make the most of the water sports, pool and the beach.

I have 2 sporty ds's so I think they'd love to try a bit of everything. Dh and I would
sunbathe supervise 😊

poolofdev · 07/03/2019 16:58

Wow, that resort looks incredible! Well firstly, I think it’s amazing that they offer childcare from 4 months - perfect for my little girl! It’s quite hard to find resorts which do this! While she is being looked after I’d make the most of the aerobics, stand up paddleboarding and of course the pools! I’m sure she would also love the pools Smile

unadulterateddad · 07/03/2019 17:05

I'd be out cycling, but the rest of the family would be swimming or possibly having a go at wakeboarding. There would be no need for the full wetsuits that we always seem to need in the uk!

It does look a lovely resort.

Impatientwino · 07/03/2019 17:47

Wow it looks lovely! We've had an incredibly stressful few years following the death of our son and I haven't been abroad in 5 years so I would absolutely love to take our little family away here for some rest and quality time together

We would definitely spend a lot of time in the pool and DS1 would love to do waterskiing! The taverna by the beach sounds amazing for a meal after a busy day, absolutely love Greek food!

DH and DS1 would also be keen on golf and toddler DS could have a little time with the toddler club and I could treat myself to a massage!

DS1 would probably try the kids club too as he enjoys meeting new friends (we have a big age gap between him and his brother)

I love the fact everything is included so I don't need to worry about organising fights and transfers etc - time is tight here with 2 working parents so that's definitely a bonus! The website is super clear and easy to navigate!

Mum2mischiefs · 07/03/2019 17:49

We'd probably head in different directions some days as we all like to do different things. Younger son would enjoy the kids club and making new friends while our 13 year old would love to practise some tennis with one of the MW coaches. I'd also like to get back in the swing of things tennis-wise and DH would just be happy that everyone else was occupied.

As a foodie family, I love that we could eat two nights out of five in the local village and sample the cuisine. One of the best bits about family holidays is trying new things and spending time around the table discussing our day and what we'll do tomorrow. So many options...

Badgerama · 07/03/2019 17:54

We would spend every second having an absolute whale of a time. We would play tennis early in the morning, relax by the pool during the day while the kids wakeboarded... then eat delicious food all evening and making special memories as a family before heading to bed in that stunning room. Utterly the dream holiday.

AnnoyedByAlfieBear · 07/03/2019 18:41

For us it would be a combo of splashing around the pool stopping the dc from drowning and exploring the area.

AlanThePig · 07/03/2019 18:46

I'd find me a lounger, a good book and switch off from the world. In the evening DH and I would explore our surroundings and sample the local food and cultures.
It would be bliss.

BigRedBoat · 07/03/2019 19:03

DH would go scuba diving, I'd go SUP boarding, the kids would love the pool and we'd make use of the kids club to have a little couples trip to the spa.

MaverickSnoopy · 07/03/2019 19:06

That looks amazing! We would be spending a lot of time at the pool and beach! And cocktails. There would be cocktails too!

I can just about remember what you're supposed to do in a warm foreign country!

Justajot · 07/03/2019 19:18

What a gorgeous resort. DD2 would love making friends at Mini Club and would love the pool. DH and DD1 would go on a kayaking adventure and give sailing a go. I've never been to Greece, but love Greek food. I love the 5 days half board arrangement - perfect combination of making life easy and getting to explore the area.
