@HannahGMumsnet - Ignore that. I found it. Not sure how I missed it yesterday.

I would love to treat my son and husband to a holiday (we've not been as a family before). I'm just teaching my son to hit with a bat so we can try some gentle tennis, in between relaxing by the pool. I'd like to go for a family cycle on one of the days to have a look around and we would probably test out some of the kids clubs so that we could have an adult break too!

Screamingeels · 09/03/2019 08:24

That looks amazing - so much to do... We'd want to try the watersports especially kayaking, play some tennis early when its cooler, cycle to the nearby town, kids can try the kids clubs. I am not sure how we are going to fit in enough lounging by the pool or relaxing on the beach.

To be honest I'd like to do very little indeed but my dh and very active sons would love the kids club and watersports.

CookieBlue · 09/03/2019 09:05

Wow, what a gorgeous resort! It looks amazing.

DD LOVES being in water so I think we would spend the majority of our time by the pool. OH is sports obsessed so without a doubt he would be trying out the watersports or be off playing tennis.

Hopefully could persuade 4 year old DD into the kids club for a little while so we could have some relaxation time thrown in too Grin

Realitea · 09/03/2019 11:00

We would head straight to the beautiful pool on the first day. We love swimming. Then we’d go exploring and make sure we have a game of tennis on one of their four courts. We’d relax by the beach in the evening in the tavern restaurant.
Greece looks so beautiful, I think it must be the perfect place to unwind and have some much needed time together as a family.

willowsmumsy · 09/03/2019 13:19

As we are a family of 5, we would first of all have to pack the 9 year old into one of the suitcases.
Once there, the 16 year old daughter would switch between sunbathing in her thong bikini🤮, taking selfies and doing all sports available. The 24 year old son would be squeezing his spots, play with his phone and hunt all day for an Xbox.
The 9 year old, once recovered from her trip in the suitcase would 'entertain' all and sundry with her singing, dancing and take charge of all the children's clubs.
My husband and I will be relaxing with an ice cold lager or glass of chilled wine, delighted to be somewhere so set up for families, with happy children!!😂😂

HaventGotAllDay · 09/03/2019 13:24

Pool, tennis and a bit of cultural sightseeing thrown in. I haven't been to Greece properly for donkey's years but it's on my list of places to take dd to.
I suppose one should listen to the Circe and Achilles audio books at the same time!

Madboys2 · 09/03/2019 13:33

The resort looks amazing and where we could spend every moment doing our favourite activities. I think we would have to cut down our sleep so we could fit it all in! We love scuba diving (ds9 snorkelling) and boarding. Biking and tennis we do weekly at home. We love exploring new areas on bikes since it shows the countryside at it best. Whilst the both DS's relax, I could always try out the fitness classes and yoga which I would need after the great food at the restaurants.

Smelborp · 09/03/2019 14:08

It looks beautiful!

I used to kayak but haven’t been able to for years so I’d love to go again and teach DD. DH has wanted to go sailing again so he’d enjoy this. We could all try paddle boarding too!

DD is always enthralled by evening entertainment and loves swimming and cycling so we’d go and explore the mountains too.

We’d love this.

AgentPeggyCarter · 09/03/2019 14:17

I love that there is the opportunity for fitness classes and a bit of mum and dad time, along with so much for the kids to do too. Since we've had kids so much of the focus of finding places to go on holiday has been on what is child friendly / safe / has lots of things for them to do etc. It's actually lovely to see something that would be a real treat for the grown ups too!

froggers1 · 09/03/2019 19:14

Would love this! I have a 10 yr old who loves kayaking. He would love to learn to sail. My 7 yr old loves swimming..My DH is a keen cyclist and I like swimming, kayaking, relaxing!!

Mabelface · 09/03/2019 19:29

I'd want to go by myself, out of season and would thoroughly enjoy relaxing. The social tennis and bike rides would be cool for when I want to socialise. Not been on holiday for years and years.

Asitgoes · 10/03/2019 11:04

Well...where to start...?

Calm azure sea with a gentle breeze
Sympathetic architecture surrounded by olive trees
Reliving my younger self with some wakeboarding (without the humiliation of trying to squeeze into my ancient wetsuit Wink)
Introducing my DD to some new water sports, having spent some very chilly moments doing taster sessions of SUP in Costa del Salford!
Taking a bike and going to to sample some local village life
Not having to cookGrin
New friends and company for us both -a major plus as a single parent
Local flights and a short transfer = hassle free Smile

Let's face it...all sounds pretty much perfect...

JoMalones · 10/03/2019 11:38

Looks absolutely fantastic. We've been to two Mark Warner resorts but this new one looks incredible and lovely to see that the incredible Sue is the manager there (she was wonderful at Levante - I hadn't met hotel managers before but she enhanced our holiday tenfold). My youngest hasn't been to MW so would be incredible to be able to take him as it was the best holiday for the whole family.

Personally I would LOVE the childcare so they could learn amazing water sports whilst I humiliate myself attempting waterskiing for the first time!

wineoclockthanks · 10/03/2019 12:34

Looks gorgeous. I like the fact it offers such a variety of activities, certainly enough to keep both my sport-mad boys happy.

I love the fact the accommodation includes sofa beds suitable for teenagers, often they end upon tiny beds with their legs hanging over the end!

Also like being able to choose to eat in the resort or go out.

EvaHarknessRose · 10/03/2019 12:40

I am looking at Greece for one of our next holidays, this looks stunning. We would be swimming and snorkelling to our hearts content.

Elpheba · 10/03/2019 12:49

Looks utterly gorgeous! We’ve got a nearly 3 year old and a 9 month old. Would 100% get them booked into the quality children’s clubs I’ve heard MW specialise in so that we get a little break. I’d love to do the spa and kayak as just adults and then take the sprogs on a cycle ride maybe. Then lots of time relaxing by the pool and in the pool and just enjoying quality family time for a whole week- sounds blissful!

MollysLips · 10/03/2019 13:10

Our family is such a mix of personalities and preferences that we'd be a great fit for such a varied resort.

DS1 will be 16 and recovering from GCSEs. He'd love the water sports, particularly scuba diving and waterskiing (he's fearless). He'd also enjoy the evening entertainment, and the restaurants.

DS2 will be 11 and nervous about starting secondary school, so he'd welcome the distraction of tennis (he already takes lessons) and playing in the pool. He'd also enjoy the kids clubs, and the opportunity to lounge by the pool reading a book and sipping a mocktail.

DH loves exploring, so he'd be getting us all bikes first thing, so we could cycle to the nearest town for lunch and our off-site dinners. He's also stressed at work so he'd love the chance to get some sunshine, and have the pressure taken off his (soon to be sunburnt!) shoulders.

I love everything, but I'd especially enjoy a chance to visit the spa, and enjoying a family kayaking session. Really though, I'd get the most pleasure watching everyone else have more fun in one week than they've ever had! I'd take a million photos and record every minute. Life goes by so quickly that you have to realise when you're happy. We'd be really happy!

NoWordForFluffy · 10/03/2019 13:14

We'd spend plenty of time in the pool together. We'd maybe try some watersports too, if the kids fancied it!

BellsaRinging · 10/03/2019 13:14

What would we get up to? Sooo much! Separately the sulky teen would enjoy hanging out with the Indy club, enjoying being active and building on his sailing skills. The younger one would love the junior club and making friends; pool madness with the other kids. The adults would enjoy tennis coaching and social games and as a family we would all get together out on the water, water-skiing and kayaking. At night, we would look forward to time chilling out together and with new friends; new food (and some drink!)...and the sun too. What could be better? (please pick us!)

meiisme · 10/03/2019 13:17

Wow, I'd love to go for a relaxing week. With all its activities and half-board your resort looks perfect for holidaying as a single parent with two energetic 9yos. DC1 says he would go adventuring around the grounds and DC2 would play tennis and football most of the day. I would also take them to try watersports, probably surfing and maybe scuba diving, if that's possible at their age. It's something I used to love to do but find difficult to organise by myself for them. I definitely would have lazy afternoons by the pool with the DC or them in the kids' club. In the evenings I'd take them for dinner and then encourage them to hang out with friends so I can have a quiet end to the day with other grown-up. Sounds like bliss, to be honest!

RhubarbAndMustard · 10/03/2019 13:26

This looks amazing. Both my boys would spend their days cycling, playing tennis and swimming in that beautiful pool. DP and I would alternate between paddle boarding, kayaking (both of which I'd love to try) and relaxing in the beautiful Greek sunshine. We've never had a family holiday abroad before so we'd make use of every moment enjoying everything the resort has to offer. The evening bbq sounds brilliant too.

dancemom · 10/03/2019 13:30

Amazing!
Dd thinks she's a mermaid so we would spend lots of time in the pool and making the most of all the water sports too. Not to mention enjoying all the lovely food!

EggysMom · 10/03/2019 13:40

I'd be chilling by the pool as much as possible, maybe visit the spa .... DH would want to explore. So he'll drag us off on bicycles (damn goes chilling by the pool!)

DS would be completely overawed. He likes swimming pools but not the cold, so this would be a chance for him to go abroad and paddle in the kiddies pool or from the beach, under the sun. And as DS has never been abroad, never flown - what an experience for him!

Ultimately though, what appeals most is the Children's Club with the capability to look after those with special needs - opportunities to chill out by ourselves, or have a meal without our autistic son, are few and far between. The chance to combine that with a family holiday in Greece .... too wonderful for words.
