Not today JustanotherChristmasuser but I had one of the those days on Tuesday. It was completely pants.
Hoping the day improves for you.

SandunesAndRainclouds · 13/12/2018 07:27

Hope you’ve had a good night Seafour.

It’s blowing a gale here this morning, the school run is going to be chaotic. Not looking forward to it much!

Nativities today though, so there’s that to look forward to. 100 six year olds on and off the staging in the school hall, it’s going to be fun!

Seafour · 13/12/2018 09:25

Good morning lovely friends, I had an ok night, lots of pain but at least it's being well controlled now.

For anyone who wants to do a real life visit please pm me.

gruber · 13/12/2018 09:33

Phew, made it! Glad you had a goodnight & pain is under control. Oramorph is wonderful stuff I have found out. I hope you manage to stay on top of it now, nothing worse than being out of it & knowing something could be done.

We are having our own battles here, having put me back on IV antibiotics the drs decided to keep me in for 24 hours on oral ABs after the IV finished to check that the infection was clearing up. However 4 nights of no sleep on a shared 4 bed ward & no help at night with a baby that needs lifting in/out of crib (that I can’t reach because of c section scar...) understandably made me a bit tired/emotional/hormonal and milk still hadn’t come in. Then Rupert was weighed before they’d let us home and he had lost over 10% birth weight so they wanted us to stay in and formula top up. We compromised that I would go home with baby last night and hopefully my milk would come in at home (no stress, I might actually get some sleep, and some decent food), and if we fed 30ml formula every 3 hours and came back in for another check today we could be discharged. Heading back in for lunchtime so hoping he has put on weight and not so dehydrated and we get to stay home.

gruber · 13/12/2018 09:34

In the meantime, who wants new baby snuggles?! He is all warm and making those cute little noises that they do. He also loves to nestle into you and is the perfect hot water bottle on these chilly winter mornings. @Seafour you get first cuddles! Smell his hair, it’s lovely.

JustanotherCHRISTMASuser01 · 13/12/2018 09:45

Seafour I've sent you a private message - I'm a bit socially awkward but i am more than happy to offer a hand hold and some company, bit restricted on travel alas so I hope your close to me!

AlbusPercival · 13/12/2018 09:58

Gruber - joining queue to snuggle Rupert. DS is two now and it’s not the same. (Even though he decided to cluster feed for 2 hours this morning wtf!?!?)

Seafour · 13/12/2018 11:15

Fucking dick shit, arsehole doctors who don't read notes and jump to the wrong conclusions can fuck off to the far side of fuck and stick a red hot poker up theirs areses sideways.

I'm raging, just about to have a wash.

OP posts:
DMCWelshCakes · 13/12/2018 11:51

They are utter bellends.

Do you want to talk about it?

Or can we help with some creative insults & swearing?

StormTreader · 13/12/2018 11:56

New thread! I'm sorry to hear you have to deal with shitty doctors who don't pay attention, hopefully the good one "has a word" with them for you :)

AlbusPercival · 13/12/2018 12:19

And then they can fuck off some more.

We are all standing behind you glowering at them

JustanotherCHRISTMASuser01 · 13/12/2018 13:50

Well they can fuck off to the far side of fuck and fuck off some more. What twunts

Andro · 13/12/2018 14:13

That sounds bad Seafour, I swear some doctors are allergic to note reading!

sunshineandthunder · 13/12/2018 14:22

I wish I lived close enough to visit and I'd sort your surgeons out!! I am directly employed by 4 amazing surgeons but I'm well aware of their inability to look/read/listen at times!!
I'm sure once you're well on the road to recovery your pain improves then you'll be kicking their asses (metaphorically of course).
I hope you enjoyed a lovely wash - can make the world of difference to your state of wellbeing.
Have a good afternoon, hope the nausea is less and the organs slotting in to their new homes. I'd love to see your before/after xrays if it's at all possible in future. Take care BrewCake

sunshineandthunder · 13/12/2018 14:22

Sorry, meant doctors rather than surgeons Blush

2018SoFarSoGreat · 13/12/2018 15:50

Sea I have a thunderous voice and a rich vocabulary of curses. So you need me to talk to these fools? As I tell my children, don't make me...

Sorry incompetence and disregard for your needs is happening again. Don't they know you have your own defense force near at hand?

yawning801 · 13/12/2018 17:25

Hello all, I'm staying at the back for now as I have a horrible dry cough. Once I cough, I can't stop...

I am also with bakes - tea loaf anyone?

Sea I'm sorry it's happening again, keep standing your ground, only you know what's best for your body as you are the one inside of it.

MrsFrankDrebin · 13/12/2018 18:20

It's taken me a couple of days to read all the first thread (wanted to give it the attention it deserves!) and now I've found the second thread may I board the @Seafour bus too? I'm in awe of your strength.

I have read bits out to my 24 year old daughter (who laughs at me being on MN mos to the time) to show her how sometimes a forum can be a wonderful thing) and she is in awe of your too.

Hoping you've had a better day today, and that people are sticking to the care plan your consultants want you to have while you're in hospital. Flowers

MrsFrankDrebin · 13/12/2018 18:23

most of the time that should be!

Cat jumped on me!

justasyouare · 13/12/2018 18:27

How are you sound Seafour?

justasyouare · 13/12/2018 18:28

*doing!

Piglet208 · 13/12/2018 20:02

Jumping back on the bus. Sorry to hear the doctors aren't doing what they should. I hope they are keeping your pain under control at least. Do they realise you have acquired an army of mumsnetters ready to do battle on your behalf.

Gramgram · 13/12/2018 21:11

Sending your doctors a hard Paddington stare through cyberspace.

You are helping me to stay calm as my problems are so minor compared to yours. But I'll have a little rant, we had a new boiler fitted 30th November, we spent that weekend without heating or hot water. Still have teething problems according to the plumber as the bathroom and hall radiators don't heat up. Also the boiler has a fancy screen and keeps coming up with a spanner sign and FA. Moan over.

MarieVanGoethem · 13/12/2018 21:54

BlueGlasses
So pleased you’d good news about your mum.

Gruber
Really REALLY hope you & Master R are safely home again.

InflagranteDelicto
We’ve had one do the baking badge, but don’t expect to share in spoils - vegan!baking is a bit tricky Grin (This time of year DC who helps at Unit does quite well from the gifts from parents; & Small Birds are In The Chocolate too...)

Sorry things seem to be so all-over-everywhere SeaFour: really hope they improve ASAP.

Izzy24 · 13/12/2018 22:16

@Sea

Hope you’re settling for the night now and that your pain is controlled but also that you have the the staff who are kind and make you feel safe tonight.
