MsTSwift · 12/12/2018 18:41

Flipping end of beaches. Sobbed at 14 and again at 44. Know it’s contrived but the ending gets me everytime

Only fools and horses when Rodney gets married. The last moment of Del standing in the pub by himself with Simply Red, Holding back the years playing....tears roll down my face every time!

Johnny's death in The Outsiders, I know it's coming and still blub.

My Girl, when McCauley Culkin dies and he he doesn’t have his glasses on in his coffin and Anna Chlumsky says “He can’t see without his glasses on” and puts them on him.

That broke me!

Ginger in Black Beauty.

When that beautiful beast rolls by all dead on the cart...I can’t watch.

icebearforpresident · 12/12/2018 18:48

Sally Field absolutely losing it in Steel Magnolias.

PepperSteaks · 12/12/2018 18:49

In Friday Night Lights when Vince’s dad gets out of prison and Vince opens up to coach Taylor about it. Gets me every time.
In Girls when Hannah finds out that Adam had moved on with Mimi Rose and she moves out of the apartment. “Like I Used To” by Lucy Rose is playing and every time I watch that song I cry like it’s me getting broken up with.

Cagliostro · 12/12/2018 18:50

Friends, when Phoebe has had the triplets and is talking to them

Scrubs, when Carla is talking to Laverne as she dies, when Cox flips out about losing a patient (and 'How to Save a Life' by the Fray is playing), when Cox realises he's actually at Ben's funeral, when Carla is sobbing in the hospital bed after having the baby. And many more. Scrubs always makes me cry!

The end of A Beautiful Mind.

IfNotNowBernard · 12/12/2018 18:50

Terms of Endearment, when Debra Winger is dying and her tween son is being horrible to her, and she says "I know you love me" really fiercely so he doesn't feel guilty in the future, because he knows she knows.
OK, I'm practically bawling just writing that!

backaftera2yearbreak · 12/12/2018 18:52

Sex And The City when Carrie get out the car and starts attacking big with the flowers.

4 weddings and a funeral when the poem is read at the funeral

beachcomber243 · 12/12/2018 18:52

In the film 'Lion' when Dev Patel's character met his mother after searching for her for years, and learnt what had happened to his brother.
A true story will always have me crying loads.

In 'Bohemian Rhapsody' the sad loss of Freddie Mercury had me in bits too.

MrsMoastyToasty · 12/12/2018 18:52

When Bobby says "Daddy! My Daddy!" in the Railway Children. Gets me every flipping time...

formerbabe · 12/12/2018 18:53

Oh the sex and the city post up thread reminded me...Miranda's mums funeral... really moving

HotSauceCommittee · 12/12/2018 18:54

Donnie Darko when the girl raises a hand to do a sad wave to Donnie’s mum who has just lost her son.
DS2 (aged 10) cried his eyes out at “Planes, Trains and Automobiles “ twice; once when John was sitting alone in the snow in the burned out car and at the end when he had nowhere to go Sad

PuppyMonkey · 12/12/2018 18:54

THAT scene in Dumbo.
(Baby mine).

The final scene in Ghost. When Patrick Swayze tells Demi Moore: “Molly, it’s amazing - all the love inside, you take it with you.”

jollyjester · 12/12/2018 18:54

When the couple come to adopt her son in Suffragette.

When the lift doors open for izzy and george is standing there in Greys Anatomy.

Solongtoshort · 12/12/2018 18:55

Champ, champ wake up champ......every time.

cigarettesandcoffee · 12/12/2018 18:56

I've recently rewatched Seven pounds,

After watching it and knowing what happens the beginning scene where will smith is speaking to woody harrelson and being horrible to him is heartbreaking! And also when will smith runs to the hospital to see if there's any way his new girlfriend will get a donor with out him 😭😭😭

I always stick seven pounds on when I need a good weep

ArtisanPopcorn · 12/12/2018 18:58

I'm going to sound like such a sap but... the end scene at the airport in Love Actually and Rory Gilmore's high school graduation speech!

LittleLlamaontheduskyroad · 12/12/2018 18:59

Steel Magnolias when Shelby collapses & her husband finds her & their baby is crying all alone. Makes me go all hot & cold & start bawling. Poor baby.

Teatimeted · 12/12/2018 18:59

The end of In The Name of the Father, where they hold up the evidence which frees him, and they try to get him to leave through the back door but he walks over the chairs to leave by the front door. The whole film just devastates me.

BumDisease · 12/12/2018 19:00

Dumbo. Even just hearing that song turns me into a greetin mess.

ChodeofChodeHall · 12/12/2018 19:02

When Michelle jilted Lofty at the altar! Only to get back with him ages later and then dump him again! Poor Lofty 😭😭😭
