Unevenbeard · 12/12/2018 20:28

The ending of Moulin Rouge

Todayillbebetter · 12/12/2018 20:29

Legends of the fall when Tristan returns and Suzanne sees him.....the look on her face that says she knows she should have waited for him.
Later in the movie when Suzanne meets Tristan's son and he says his name is Samuel. She remembers her first love and the pain if never being able to have a son to name Samuel and that Tristan had his son with someone else.

Heartbreaking

lauryloo · 12/12/2018 20:30

@NakedBrainStrollingInManhatten so glad someone else said Juno. I start blubbing as soon as she goes into labour

Todayillbebetter · 12/12/2018 20:31

The English Patient ...the absolute misery of finally finding love and having to lose it.

WhoTookTheChristmasCookie · 12/12/2018 20:31

Bambi and Dumbo - traumatising.

One Day at a Time - where Elena comes out as gay to her dad and he runs out on her at her quinces. She's waiting to do their father/daughter dance and realises that he's bolted Sad

Agree with Steel Magnolias, Marley and Me, Schindlers List.

Father of The Bride gets me every single time.

My Sisters Keeper - when the poor girl dies and her sister says 'I wish there'd been a miracle, but there wasn't. She just stopped breathing.'

About a Boy - when Marcus sings Killing Me Softly to try and make his mum happy.

AWafferthinmint · 12/12/2018 20:32

Jack and Sarah after his wife dies and he finally starts to look after the baby 😭

Todayillbebetter · 12/12/2018 20:33

Atonement. The ending - a story made up to ease the agony of guilt. It's true if you want to believe it enough

Dubonet · 12/12/2018 20:34

Gladiator when RC goes back to his farm where his wife and son have been murdered. Breaks my heart EVERY time.

HashTagLil · 12/12/2018 20:35

The very end of the Boy in the Striped Pyjamas and the scene in Toy Story 3 where the toys hold hands to face certain death.

Full on snotty, snivelling mess.

GrubbyHipsterBeard · 12/12/2018 20:35

YY to the first scene of Up and 007 episode in Greys

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 12/12/2018 20:38

The Green Mile for us too. But the bit with the execution of Delacroix. Watched the film many times but have never managed to watch that bit again.Sad

Willow2017 · 12/12/2018 20:38

Dumbo

The Railway Children

E.R. when Mark.dies i couldnt listen to that song for years without blubbing.

Every death in TWD

When Sophia comes out the barn in TWD.

When Carol has to shoot Lizzie in TWD.

The funeral in Big Fish when everyone in his stories turns up.

Steel Magnolias.

Emma Thompson in L.A.

Truley Madley Deeply when Alan R is watching her through the window at the end.

When Snape dies in Hp and HP finds out he was a good guy after all.

Caitlins death in NCSI but worse was Zivas, proper sobbing. All that could have been with her and Tony 😭😭😭

More mentioned up up thread but especially the last 10 minutes of the last Black Adder. Proper gut wrenching scene beautifully done.

When Dobbie dies😭😭

ALittleBitofVitriol · 12/12/2018 20:40

The one that gets me every time is Riding in Cars with Boys with Drew Barrymore.
I sob from the scene where she finally kicks out her druggy husband all the way to the end. I may have some residual daddy issues...

AccioWine · 12/12/2018 20:41

Oh Lordy, yy to most of the ones already mentioned. I just got teary merely describing the end of Watership Down to DH!

The ending of A Monster Calls in all its forms (book, play, film) makes me totally ugly cry.

Idontmeanto · 12/12/2018 20:41

Amazed we’ve got this far and no mention of Titanic!

HugoBearsMummy · 12/12/2018 20:42

A Walk To Remember, when Landon is talking about Jamie's ever lasting love for him 'Her love is like the wind, I can't see it, but I can feel it' , kills me every time 😭

When Denny died in Greys, also when there was a shooter in the hospital and Miranda couldn't get Charles to an OR and he died in her arms 😭

Ending of Beauty & The Beast when Belle thinks he's died but he comes back to life

Dear John when John reads the letter to his father in the hospital

So many more....

HungryForSnacks · 12/12/2018 20:43

Graphista
I’d forgotten about Will in the Good Wife. I couldn’t watch it after that.
Yes to Hilda in Corrie when Stan Ogden died and when Vera died and Jack Duckworth danced with her
When Ernest Bishop was shot

Bambi’s Mum dying
When it looked as if ET had died
Sally Field in Steel Magnolias
Kit when she said, take care of you

lilmishap · 12/12/2018 20:46

My Girl - good god that film broke me. I watched it a year after my mum died and didn't stop crying for about six weeks as I suddenly understood death is final and bloody unfair.

Elderflower14 · 12/12/2018 20:46

The end of both versions of The Railway Children, International Velvet and Champions when Bob Champion and Aldaniti go past the winning post.
When Jessie is singing in Toy Story 2.

DoneAdulting · 12/12/2018 20:47

Yes to the Greys Anatomy scenes, but the worst one for me is the episode where Miranda is taking care of a terminally ill little girl, and her dad almost misses her dying, but makes it back in time to cuddle her and she dies in his arms. I've rewatched GA a few times and that's the only episode I have to skip.

BigStripeyBastard · 12/12/2018 20:48

The episode of Futurama where Fry gets frozen for a thousand years and his dog waits for him for years outside the Pizza shop, just waiting for him to come back.
The seasons pass, the dog gets older and more tired but he just waits and waits until he eventually dies but Fry never comes back.
Gets me Every. Fucking. Time.
😭

Doyoumind · 12/12/2018 20:48

The Elephant Man. I don't usually cry 0at films and certainly not when they are designed to make you cry but when he lies down knowing he will die because of it I am an absolute wreck.
