Another "Corrie" one - Hilda Ogden after Stan's death Sad

iknowimcoming · 17/12/2018 15:04

YY to Kramer vs Kramer. Also pretty much every episode of Call the midwife but particularly the thalidomide episodes

Drogosnextwife · 17/12/2018 15:07

I can't read this just now because I'm sitting at school waiting to do pick up, read 3 of these and I'm welling up already! People will think something is wrong haha.

HearMeSnore · 17/12/2018 15:46

It's been 35 years and I still can't handle it when ET goes home.

Also "A Monster Calls". All of it, really, but from "I want it to be over" until the end I'm a mess.

LOTR - Return Of The King. "I can't carry it for you...but I can carry you." And again at the end when the last boat sails away.

The Pursuit of happiness, when he drops his Captain America figure.
Holding the man when John dies and his breathing just gets slower and raspier.
Sophies choice obvs.
The best of us, when you find out what he did.
The Dad doing the funny walk at the end of A beautiful life.
God's own Country, when they first kiss, and also the end scene with the caravan being taken away.

I challenge you all to watch this and remain dry eyed. I sobbed my heart out

howdyholdthedoody · 19/12/2018 15:11

This is England when you realise Woody didn't have a clue about Lol and Milky until she had the baby 😥 also this is England where combo goes to prison for Lol for killing her evil dad

GarethSouthgatesWaistcoat · 19/12/2018 19:41

I love This Is England, it's incredible (the whole thing) Shock

Purplestorm83 · 19/12/2018 19:58

Not a film but I was just reading The Lorax to my daughter and could hardly get to the end of it - the bit where the last tree gets chopped down had me in absolute bits!

Film-wise, Juno always gets me - I love that film so much but the bit where she is in hospital having just had the baby and they play Sea of Love - I can’t even listen to that song without crying because of the association!

MrsJayy · 19/12/2018 21:08

The lorax destroyed me at the cinema i properly sobbed I was 41years old ffsBlush I refused to watch it when Dds got the dvd

MrsJayy · 19/12/2018 21:09

He is supposed to be making a final one be 2000 (i think)

strawberrisc · 20/12/2018 06:29

@MrsJayy please don’t say you’re teasing us! This would make my (shitty) year, it really would!

I also love Lol’s relationship with the nurse. Fantastic scenes.

I read an interview with Shane meadows he didn't rule it out so hopefully, although the last 1 was set in 2000 so not sure how far they would go,

DarlingNikita · 20/12/2018 15:49

'Truly Madly Deeply' when Nina is talking to Jamie on the floor and he does the Spanish poem and ….ohhhhhhhh

And when the pest-control man George is round and she's frantically whispering to Jamie so he won't see him. George says 'I tell my wife about you' and she says 'I'm sorry, George, I thought your wife died?' He looks at her so kindly and says '1974. I still talk to her though. Tell her my day. And death shall have no dominion. We know that, don't we, me and you?'

I'm sobbing now typing it!

WilburforceRaven · 20/12/2018 15:49

I've only cried at films when they're so bad I'm filled with tears of joy they're finally OVER. Titanic, The Patriot, Les Mis (the one with Eddy Weedy and Amanda Bug Eyes warbling away), Forrest Gump . . . and many more. Time I'll never get back.

DarlingNikita · 20/12/2018 15:52

The Fox and the hound Fuck, yes. Saw it as a child and it traumatised me.

DaysOfCurlySpencer · 20/12/2018 15:52

Marley and Me when Marley dies.

The Green Mile when the little mouse is killed.

I can't watch either of them again.

DioVelazquez · 20/12/2018 15:54

In Lost when when Juliet is getting pulled into the hole in the ground by the giant magnet and Sawyer is holding onto her and knows he can't hold her and then she's gone. 😭

And in Breaking Bad when those evil fuckers make Jesse watch them shoot Brock's mum on her doorstep😭😭😭

Quickerthanavicar · 20/12/2018 16:10

Love Actually - when Emma Thompson straightens the cover on the bed, even though it is straight.

Yabbers · 20/12/2018 16:18

Nashville when Rayna dies, and then her funeral. And when Maddie and Daphne sing at the Opry.

Greys Anatomy - so many but when Callie has the car accident and Arizona resuscitates their premature baby.

Stepmom “my fear is she won’t” scene. And the one where they go horse riding in the snow.

Bawled all the way through Disney’s Inside Out

Elderflower14
International Velvet

I think we might be the only two people who remember that movie!

Leela2 · 20/12/2018 16:20

The end of MASH, horrific.

The bit in Titanic with the old couple cuddling on the bed

Leela2 · 20/12/2018 16:45

Emma Thompson in Wit, when her friend reads to her.

Dr Who Father's Day

LittleLlamaontheduskyroad · 20/12/2018 16:48

Jack Frost - "you're my mark on the world" WAAAAAAHHHHHHHH

IJustWantToWearDungarees · 20/12/2018 18:38

Oh god yes Truly Madly Deeply. Those scenes where she just sobs and sobs. Can't even think of them without welling up. Wonderful, brilliant film.
